I just got a 2015 foreman on a trade. The guy rebuilt it and cant get it to start up. It with fire off with either and the gear indicator has a line no number or leter . I mite be tearing it back apart

What if the shift sensor is not lined up on Neutral ? Any what to fix it without taking the back plate back off . I believe that's what wrong with mine and the motor is already back in

That's what I thought too, in going to dive into it Sunday, I mite try to remove rear swing arm and try to remove back side plate instead of pulling motor again. thanks for responding

this is an excelent video of engine assemble. I replaced replaced timing chain and slider with info fromthis video on my 2015 TRX500 yesterday and the engine runs good. i can feel the shifter changing from nuetral to reverse and first but the machine does not travel forward or reverse. feels like clutch slipping. so i dissassembled it again and found the clutch disc had a little binding. i loosened the four bolts holding the plate and springs keeping the clutch together and it unbound, looked good, put back together and still slips. had no problem with clutch slipping before the slider broke and the timing chain got loose and making noise. can you give me an idea what i may have missed?

Really wish you would went more in detail with the transmission I'm working an 22 trx520 almost similar engine but the transmission was locked up. I tore it apart and have the transmission back in it. It spins but once I put the reverse gear in it locks it down. What manual do you suggest that will help me out on that

I try to keep all of my transmissions together during disassembly and all together for reassembly because they can get complicated if you misplace any parts of them. The only problems I have ever seen were bent or broken teeth. Do you have everything put together behind your front cover when you are trying to shift it?

What does the round cap with three bolts holding it down on the motor hold. It's on the rear of the crankcase ???

That is just a cover for the end of the crankshaft. You can take that off and rotate the crankshaft with the bolt inside. It's how you put the bike at top dead center for valve adjustments.

@@FourwheelerDoctor thank you for the quick reply! Yea i was workin on my buddys bike and i saw that cover bent up like something shot out. So i pulled it and the bolt backed out and crossthreaded the threads in the crank. Would you recommend going in with a tap trying to re thread it or is he looking for new crank?

Which way does that reverse lever shaft washer go? The round or flat side towards the cover? When I took the rear cover off it was laying on the ground so that’s way I’m asking.

It doesn't matter, it just needs the washer.

I use permatex ultra Gray rtv. It doesn't stand out in color against the case and seems to work very well.

hey i was just if you could tell me were to purchase the seal on the front crankcase cover that was trying to roll out on you. mine did the same and i think i have to replace it

Yes it's listed under the final shaft on the parts diagrams. I think the part number is 91202-HR0-F01

I got to thre front right before I put the front cover on, I checked foot shifter it seemed jammed, I didn't have to remove the transmission it stayed in the other side of the casing. any ideas?

Would your shift drum rotate behind the front cover before you put the cover back on?

How do you know if your clutches have to be replaced?

The telltale sign is the clutches slipping especially when going slower in a higher gear. If you have the engine apart where you can see the clutches they normally have deep grooves in them when they still have life left and are almost slick when they're worn.

Hey man my buddies looking at a 08 750 brute.... has shy of 8k miles unknown hours but the rear cylinder is dead good fuel and spark you think the crank and rod would be alright? runs off one cylinder, dead one is just pushing out oil what's your 2 cents on them

Four wheeler Doctor can't really tell runs pretty bad on one.... won't idle

If I had to bet I would say it had a spin rod bearing. The last one I had that was running on one cylinder (spark plug wire unhooked), it was just really weak but would run and idle fine.
