Today I did not say “Crucify Him” at Mass. I remember my mom wouldn’t say it either when we were young. Instead I just listened to the reading, didn’t read it, and I kept saying the prayer the angel taught the children at Fatima. “My God, I believe, I adore, I hope and I love you. I ask pardon for all those who do not believe, do not adore, do not hope and do not love you.”

As a Greek Orthodox observer at Catholic Holy Week services, this novelty left me in total shock. One wonders if the Jews and their sympathisers during Vatican Ii and thereafter have not had something to do with it. After all 'we too no less than the Jews have crucified Christ with our sins'. Deflection, perhaps?

Continued thanks and daily prayers for you Fr. Mawdsley. You are so right. When I was going to the N.Ordo, I could never shout out those terrible words, 'Crucify him'. My thoughts were always, 'This is so wrong!', and I was mortified. Through your teaching, now I know why, and so many other things. 🙏

How beautiful! Whenever I am about to receive my Precious Lord, I ask Mother Mary to lend me her Immaculate Heart, it is a living ciborium as revealed to us through one of her visitations to a saint. I never thought of asking her to build one in my heart!

God bless you Fr.! My priest celebrates the TLM pre-1955 and he used to be an Orthodox Jew. He is literally heaven sent! I was destitute on the verge of ending my life and the Holy Spirit guided me back Home via the TLM. I sobbed at mass tonight hearing what our Blessed Mother endured holding her dying Son, our Lord and Savior in her arms. It's sad to think that none of my NO family members or friends even knew how important today is in the history of our church. First Friday and Saturday devotions, daily mass attendance (I'm fortunate to have a church that celebrates a somewhat reverent NO mainly because most the parishioners are elderly, next to the school I teach at), confession and the rosary every day will keep us safe from the harms that await the rest who continue to deny our Lord and His Church ❤🙏

@ JMJ [your question from the Livechat] -- There are still good priests speaking truth who have faculties. The faithful who seek out the Sacraments now (and, for example, during lockdowns), will find the priests who believe like they do in Christ the King, in God. We build up networks now so when the storm hits we have solid support from the faithful and from clerics as well as from above. Like you said before, nothing to fear. If Francis makes it even harder for traddie communities then I will make it even easier for people to get to my Masses. There will be others who do similarly. Francis will not win.

Fr. Mawdsley, I commend you for sticking to your convictions and principles. I also hope and pray that the pre-1955 Liturgy will be in place before I die just the way it was when I received my Baptism, First Confession & Holy Communion, and Confirmation. Although I do attend the daily TLM (1962) almost every weekend I attend at least one pre-1955 TLM (Low Mass) by a visiting priest. God willing, the priest has agreed to officiate (celebrate) the pre-1955 Requiem Mass for me when the time comes. Of course, this will be if he is still in the area. I have both of your current hardback books.

If you don't already, start praying the Rosary daily, 15 decades, it will help you keep your peace and it will help prepare you for the storm to come, especially future deprivation of the sacraments. Immerse yourselves in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus on a daily basis, it will change your life.

Fr James, you are a true friend. I'm so edified to read your short bio. I've honestly struggled more than anything else with feeling a sense of despair and bitterness because of the cowardice and absolute lack of faith by clergy and hierarchs at the face of Covid-19, as well as, the apostate Pope. I've known Cardinal Burke for quite some time, as well as, Bishop Athanasius Schneider and have repeatedly urged them to ecclesiastically impugn Pope Francis. It seems a Conclave is needed, as well as, a Council to redress all the wrongs under the Francis pontificate. I was born a year prior to you - was Roman Catholic but now Byzantine Catholic. I think I would have been a priest a long time ago, but God called me in a long path with the Jesuits to fight many battles. I really want to thank you for refusing to stop your #1 top priority duty as a priest to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and sacramental life for the faithful. Thank you for doing what you do. May God be praised.

Father, I am so thankful for your videos, your courage, strength, and your fortitude. After being a member of the NO for some time, I decided I did not like seeing what was happening in the Church. I knew something was amiss nine years ago after Bergoglio was elected. I expressed my feelings about him which was countered by others as he was just misunderstood. I am more sure now that I was right than ever before. I decided to visit several TLM churches as well as the SSPX to see if it was something that might be right for me. I found a church more than a month ago, which spoke to me in such a profound way that I will be joining this Parrish this week. It scared me a little at first because it had the sedevacantist label. But the more I study, the more I believe this is the proper choice for me. I know you are not a sede, but your commentary has been very helpful to me. God bless you and all you do in His name. Mawdsley, for seeing through and calling out the 1970’s V2 liturgical Grand Guignol of having a parish yelling “crucify him!” On Good Friday as if we were not faithful Christians, but rather benighted 1st century Jews cowering in fear of the corrupt Herodian throne, the Jewish high priesthood, and the pagan Roman overlords. It’s practically a sin. I agree, we should be bitterly weeping in silence, at the recreation of the scene, like Our Sorrowful Mother, the beloved John, and the penitent Magdalen which at that terrible time the whole Church had collapsed into. Although I will be glad if the books do well, they are serving a bigger goal, and I expect that pursuing that goal (which will be more explicit this summer) will keep me busy for the foreseeable future. When I was bound to attend the Novus Ordo mass because that's all we had, I felt pressured into saying "Crucify him" but it never, ever felt right and in fact, many times I did not. I always cringe when I hear those words. Fact is, I have contributed to His crucifixion because of my decisions. I pray for His forgiveness and thank Him for His patience and mercy. Those words are of the devil.

I have many strong opinions about the Jews, and I hardly pray for them. This prayer for the Jews may be something I need to integrate into my daily prayers

God bless you for this comment. If I may paste an answer from another comment... -- Certainly one can pray any prayer anytime. And one can pray this in private if one wishes. And that will be effective. However, none of our personal prayers compare to the public prayer of the Church, her liturgy. And there are no days in the Church's calendar more solemn than the Sacred Triduum. So when the Good Friday prayers are sung / said by a priest in the Solemn Liturgy that one day of the year, especially following the pre-1955 rites, then it is mighty beyond measure. So one can pray it in private (daily, or each Friday, or each first Friday), but I am concentrating on raising awareness of how vital the pre-55 rites are, beginning with this prayer, but for the whole Holy Week, and indeed the whole year. If we will pray this prayer properly on Good Friday, it should form our minds and hearts to raise all our prayers for the rest of our life... and constantly, by God's grace, growing.
