Doh! I forgot to give the most vital connection which sums it all up. The reason that God named Jacob Israel, and all his descendants were named Israelis, and the land they lived in was called Israel... is to point to the supernatural reality that God sent Jesus Christ so that all His spiritual descendants, Christians, would live IN HIM. We are members of His Body. We enter Heaven, the real Promised Land by living in Christ. Living in Christ is Heaven. This is the implicit Promise of the OT made explicit by the NT: God offers us His own substance to be our inheritance, our land (or city), our dwelling, to live in Him, with His Name upon us -- Eternal Life, I AM WHO AM.
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION

After a sudden dramatic reversion, and 50+ years of new age paganism, I ran to a FSSP Mission to receive the Holy Sacraments. Shortly after, the bishop closed the church and then finally, I began to read the Bible In a Year. I never could have gotten through the Old Testament without Fr.Mike. And I began to fall in love with my Father. He moved me deeply, to learn how He loved His People. And when they fell, He would send another Messenger or another treasure to warm their hearts. How patient and merciful He is with His People. From there I began to enjoy more and more. Especially hearing the words of scripture but learning the Hebrew or Greek translation. While in Israel in the 70s, for months, I lived and travelled only with Jews. And visited all their holy places. Only by a strange but grace filled meeting, did I find myself sobbing in the Tomb of Christ. And even with this “miracle”, I continued to walk on as “normal”😵‍💫. Of all my life, my sad biggest regret is that I didn’t experience Israel as a Catholic. But for some reason I remember so clearly, visiting Hebron and the revered burial site of the Old Testament Fathers & women. Thank You, Father Mawdsley, for your books and your public speaking. You are on my list of priests for the morning worldwide rosary. 🙏💛 En el Corazón Triunfante de Jesús

I finally found someone who feels the way I do about the Jews. I was a hairdresser, my salon was full of retired Jewish women. I learned so much over those 30 years of conversation. I had some that were Holocaust survivors, they had the number tattoo on their forearm. I would not have this deep love for the Jews had I not worked in this place. God is so Good.

I'm a Catholic who fell away, got into the Evangelical church in America, met a Messianic Jewish man and married him. We came to Israelover 30 years ago. We weren't hyper Zionist but we believed the Christian Zionist teachings. We left after 6 years and struggled in our 50's because of mental health issues but couldn't survive in America so we came back but we were more aware of the problems with zionism. When we had been in the US, I actually tried to return to the Church and bring my husband with me but something happened that I still don't understand. I think there was a misunderstanding but the parish was unrelenting and we were put under discipline without being told exactly what happened. We were only allowed to attend Mass, not talk to anyone or have any friendships. Of course, that only pushed us away again. How could I repent if I didn't know what my sin was? So now, I'm 77, my husband died almost 3 years ago and I find myself weeping at Father's teachings because I know they're true. I am trapped here. I don't have the income to leave. I have Israeli money that will end if I do. I have no more family in the US but I do in Italy. I have applied for citizenship there but even with an old age stipend and living modestly in the South, I won't have quite enough. It will take a miracle for me to be able to move but I am in agony here. Fortunately, I live in Haifa so I have Christian Arab friends and a good Church family. I am in good health and mentally clear. Please pray that Our Lord will deliver me to live out my days in Italy. I've been there several times in the past 3 years so I know what it would take and I'm close. I am trying to find the energy to write a memoir and hopefully be successful with that. I feel a bit overwhelmed. I plan to go to Confession before Mass tomorrow and confess how I was sucked into this delusion.

Prayers for you. I have found the issues around Israel very difficult to discuss with anyone. My dad was born in Berlin in 1928. German dad and Polish mom. A lot of sadness just on the conflict with both of those countries. Very hard for my dad do discuss here in the USA regarding his experience without someone misinterpreting it because of such negative con-nations (and total inhumanity he experienced right up through April of 1945 in Berlin)...but in the end I think this experience gave him a more honest way of looking at the World. I have struggled with faith and my experience with Church left me the feeling that things were off. Nice older people trying to help each other to there final days so I am not saying it was all bad, but still not really fully honest discussions.

God is sovereign and He chooses His servants in His wisdom and power and guides them on the way. Prayer and trust in God is the foundation. I had an unusual conversion with evangelical Christians in 1990, moved on to the Charismatic Renewal and knew different Catholic groups, until I found SSPX 2014 in Singapore. There I found my nest where I wanted to stay. It was in the Traditional Mass, Traditional Catholic Teaching and Priesthood that I was able to restore my Catholic roots. Divine Providence sent me 2020 back to the desert, in a Novus Ordo parish to guide fellow parishioners back to the true Catholic devotion to God on the First Saturdays and the Way of the Cross. I had to let go and allow Mother Mary to guide me. It is a very prickly ground and I am challenged and rejected, but I put my trust in God and have understood that it is His Will and He will give me the means to work for His kingdom, to His glory and the salvation of souls.

It occurred to me that your book series is like the mosaics, very Biblical, of Monreale Cathedral in Palermo. They depict the working out of salvation from creation to St. Paul and beyond. I and many others hope the best for your situation. We are all appalled by the treatment some priests have received, when all they were trying to do is be priests. While I disagree with some of the things I heard in this video, I DO agree that you should be allowed to flourish in your vocation. Your writing is a part of your commission. Keep writing; it is salutary for you. And for us, your books are as golden as the mosaics of Monreale. Happy Eastertide, Fr. Mawdsley.

Do you agree with Robert Sungenis' position, that there will be no large conversion of the Jews? Robert Sungenis argues as follows: [quote] "St. Paul himself has no delusions of grandeur regarding the conversion of the Jews, since he says in Romans 11:14 that he expects only "some" of them to be converted, and speaks only conditionally about their future salvation in Romans 11:23 ("And they also, IF they do not continue in their unbelief will be grafted in again"). That it is only the New Covenant saving the remnant of faithful Jews is reiterated in Romans 11:26 which says "and thus all Israel will be saved." The word "thus" is the Greek adverb "houtos" which is modifying the verb "saved," and means "in this way all Israel will be saved." The meaning of "in this way" is then explained in Romans 11:26b and 27 as the first coming of Christ, when he established his "covenant" (i.e., the New Covenant, cf., Hebrews 8:1-16; 10:16-18) with the Jews and "took away their sins." That the "first" coming is in view is verified by the two Old Testament passages from which St. Paul quotes (Isaiah 59:20-21; Isaiah 27:9). It is also confirmed by the explicit language of Luke 1:68-79, which, referring to the birth of Christ, says that God came to save the Jews, as He swore to David and Abraham. The only reason that St. Paul goes into an in depth description of these events in Romans 11 is, as he says himself in Romans 11:1-2, "has God forsaken his people whom he foreknew?" In other words, the natural question that would arise once God, through the death of Christ, rejected national Israel as his chosen people, is: has God completely cut off the Jews? The answer to that question, St. Paul assures us, is NO, for although it may look like they are completely forsaken, there is still a remnant being saved, and St. Paul points to himself as being a great example of that very remnant. Thus, God has been faithful to the faithful Jews, and will continue to do so up until the end of time (i.e., "the fulness of the Gentiles") but even as it is true with the majority of the Gentiles who have disbelieved, God will condemn the rest of Jewry for their refusal to accept Christ. As such, Romans 11 is not speaking about some grand conversion of the Jews. That idea is nowhere taught in either the Old or New Testaments. It is only speaking about God's continued faithfulness to faithful Jews who embrace Christ as their one and only savior. Anyone who teaches that the Jews can or will be saved by recourse to the Old Covenant is teaching heresy, and they will be condemned along with the Jews to whom they have preached that false gospel." [unquote]

I just finished the third New Old book. I think it is the best so far. Never read anything that did such a good job of bridging the gap between modern Judaism and Christianity. Plan to send it to a Jewish-by-heritage friend of mine who grew up in Israel, spent most of his life as an atheist, and has only recently come around to realizing there must be a God. Also thanks for the summary in the bio section about what led to your current situation. It is other priests who also did not fall for the propagandemic that led me to come back to the church, and eventually to your channel.

Thank you Father, this is great. Do you think the conversion of St Alphonse Ratisbonne by the Miraculous Medal and Our Ladys appearance is almost a foreshadowing of this future conversion of the Jews? Farther, my wife has a theory about the Genesis narrative being a concealed narrative about the nation of Israel. Any thoughts on this? E.g., Adam = Abraham. Adam taken out of the earth = Abraham taken out of his land. Enmity between the Woman’s (Mary’s) seed (Christ) and the Serpent’s seed = enmity between the Church and the Jews (John 8:44 “you are of your father the Devil” / therefore the seed of the Serpent). Tree of knowledge = the Law. Curious if you have any thoughts on this or if it is covered in one of your books? God bless, you are in my prayers +

Hi Father. Forgive me. This question is off topic but I’m hoping you can help me. I’m trying to arrange Latin Gregorian Masses for my brother. SSPX in FL is way expensive - $800. Other recommended Abbeys are over whelmed & not taking requests. Any suggestions? Thank you so much for all you do & being someone we can trust. God bless.

My email address is in the 'About' section of this channel. If it is something general, I might be able to help. But if it is more circumstance specific, often it is best to go to a priest who knows you. In any case, you are welcome to send me an email.

He died because of us all. If you have ever committed a mortal sin you killed Him too. That is pretty much all of us who got past the age of reason. If you don't see your own sinfulness as a cause for humility then how can you have a spiritual life?

Amazing content Father - as you are an independent priest - have you been conditionally ordained by a valid bishop? I believe the new rite is dubious. Archbishop Vigano has been conditionally consecrated due to doubts around his original ordination. My goodness what times we live in!

Just to clarify, I am not an ‘independent priest’ (I have no apostolate). It’s more accurate to say I am a suspended priest. God bless.

I am not an "independent priest". I am a suspended priest, and not contesting the restrictions of my own case because I wish to remain focussed on a deeper / broader fight (which this channel broadly covers). God bless.

He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision. 5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, 6 “I have set my king on Zion, my holy hill.” 7 I will tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have begotten you. 8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. 9 You shall break them with a rod of iron, and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” 10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. 11 Serve the Lord with fear, Psalm2
