The fictional 'Free City' is based on Liberty City from Grand Theft Auto III (2001) and Grand Theft Auto IV (2008) games. Also, Liberty City was inspired by New York City in real life.

Actually, I don't think there was ever a conversation. Why it's so discombobulated. Unlike, say the MCU where Kevin Feige has a plan for how all the movies work together. TFA was a good refresher and setup going forward. Then TLJ threw all of that work in the garbage, took one of the most beloved Star Wars characters (maybe fictional characters ever) and had him react in a way that made no sense. Then TROS tried to recon what TLJ did, and it left plot holes. Had they given us the Luke we saw in the last few minutes of Mandalorian in TLJ, people would love it.

That's actually a very good point - there's a lot of franchises that become super successful so their creators just make more sequels of the same thing (especially movies in Hollywood). They'd rather put stale & convoluted character dramas on the big screen than risk starting something new.

How do you know that Taika Waititi played this role very well? Every gamer: we really want to punch that guy. This is basically EA in a nutshell, the only thing that is missing are the words - microtransaction, A sense of pride and accomplishment and surprise mechanics.

I want an Albuquerque Boiled Turkey now... Can someone get on that? Like, make it a sub shop? Turkey bacon and swiss has been my go to sandwich for decades. The guys in subway had their hair blown back when I said turkey and bacon back in the day. I love that the world caught on.

0:39 Guys, I never saw anybody comment about the reference to Breaking Bad in this scene. When Antwan says "Why would I make another restaurant called Albuquerque Boiled Turkey" is a clear reference to Los Pollos Hermanos from Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, controlled by a villain who is Gustavo Fring, as same as Antwan who is the villain of Free Guy. One of the best crossovers I've ever saw, my favorite TV series with one of my favorite movies.
