My 2013 Freightliner was at a dealership they quoted me 19k for a new one box labor included and said the part is on back order for a few months a least. I was going to just delete the whole system i was left no other choice.. Found your video did it right at the dealership and drove it home going 70mph no loss of power… Man you saved me so much thank you I’m beyond grateful

Thanks a lot. I'll am currently at the freightliner in MD. they are now talking about the likelihood that I may need a onebox. Am about three months from trading my 2012 Cascadia for 2020 t680. I just hope that I can dodge this bullet, til then.

Desvaríos de un Camionero it is true. The doc is not replaceable. They recommend replacing the dpf filter too. Several hours of troubleshooting and sensor replacement before they make you buy a new1box. 12,500$ USD, plus several days downtime. Freightliner doesn't care if you starve. No financing This happened to me a month after warranty was up. Thank you Francisco!

I think if CARB catches you, they will hand down a massive fine. But it works great on trucks that dont leave the county or state. It works great on DD13-15,16 EPA 10 2010-2012, GHG14 2013-2016,7 but dont know if it works with GHG17. You will get a fault code SPN 3057 FMI 2 SCR Outlet NOx Sensor - Error, but it just asks you to perform a Parked Regen. If it passes to release vehicle. The MIL will turn on (the little engine lamp) but wont cause a derate. Good luck guys, keep on truckin'.

I have the exact same issue happening with my truck. Everything was fine. Once I change the DPF filter and changed it to knock sensor. That’s when this issue started so I’m going to try the bypass that you recommended. Where should I put outlet sensor?

Is that mean the truck will keep moving without needing regeneration at all regardless the mileage? My truck had bad scr box getting over heated melting the side fairings and the harnesses. So if I do this the truck will stop do regen itself ? And no derate. ?

Hey Francisco, I am getting same codes for the last 3-4 months. In the beginning they wound come on once a week(while going uphill), but now it is coming up once in 2-3 days. Every time I stop and do a regen and engine light goes off. Is it a bad sensor? or SRC box like on video and I need to bypass it?

Mr Amaya I’m currently working on a Freightliner 2018 . The codes are 521040, 521050, 511052, 520373 . Also low scr conversion efficiency low . The truck has the two amber lights on the def amber light blinking and it’s in a 5 mph derate . I replaced the dozer injector the def pump filter and the two box sensors and it still won’t get codes to become inactive after I perform regen . I even tried tricking the system by leaving the box sensor out side with the electrical connector connected and the scr efficiency to work 100% but it still won’t codes won’t go inactive . I also tried to go the speed sensor route but it’s not the same as the older models . Any advise will help thanks in advance

I wish I could send you my video but I try to explain. The check engine light comes on another engine light comes on both are yellow, the DEF yellow light blinks off and on and the region temperature with a puff of smoking I pull over, do a force region, it starts to region, the temperature in Puff smoke region blinks off and on., After about five minutes, the check engine light goes off the Blake and DEF light goes off The solid yellow engine light stays on, and the DPF temperature with a puff of smoke gauge stops blinking and stays on. At this time truck is still in region mode

@francisco_amaya_youtube_ hello sir thank you so much for this bypass solution to trick the SCR and NOx sensor. I have a question, doesn't the NOx sensor need to reach a certain temperature for it to work? If it's not reaching that temp will it cause a derate? With the outlet sensors unplugged at either end neither of them will actually be sending the temperature, will this cause a problem? Thanks man!

That nox sensor on Detroit doesn't have a working temperature rates. It is the computer what determines when it needs to be activated so that is right you can easily manipulate the reading that way.

No need to buy a new sensor, just take out the existing outlet sensor and screw a plug in the hole. Then zip tie it out of the way.

The SCR by pass it is only for emissions monitors this has nothing to do with regen. If you do the by pass the regen process will be the same. Driving, parked or forced.

Side effects are Amber light on (only on some trucks) Sometimes low power (only some trucks) No all the truck are going to present the side effects but it does not affect much.

About to try this tomorrow i have the low nox code. Sometimes my engine derates in power and will reset if i park for 10 mins. is it possible if i try this my engine will stay derated in HP. Cuz the 25% derates i get suck

Your videos help me so much thank you. I have a 2014 cascadia evolution I'm worried that my dpf system is going to reach the end of his life soon . I have 526k miles on my truck . Can this be a permanent fix for the truck? Or if I leave it like this will I have to make further modifications?

No, it is not permanent It is just to make the SCR box last 900K+ miles After this you don't have to do more modifications. But you will need to repair any else that can go bad, like: DEF pump DEF lines Sensors wiring Etc,..

Yes, a 22 or 7/8 oxygen sensor socket (open socket). You can buy it at auto zone or Amazon.

I found I lot oil in the air cooler and the turbo is dry with no oil what do you think is the problem?

+Jesus Camacho The only way the oil can access the CAC (air cooler) is by the turbo. The turbo can have a small leak and this can be caused by a bad crankcase filter or a bad turbo. Unless you have just a small amount of oil in the CAC that will be classified as normal in some cases.

Compa, ese aceite puede ser de una falla de turbo anterior, si el turbo actual no tiene aceite visible en la turbina de admisiòn no te preocupes. Ojo, si es mucho debes drenarlo, si es solo humedad dont worry.

Crankcase filter is plugging up. These help the crank case breath, when it begins to plug up its kind of suffocating the crankcase, So what happens is it begins to pull oil from anywhere, Valve seals ect ect, This oil ends up in your intake side through your air cooler. Long term it can cause soot build up on your dpf filter.

How do you get the computer program on the laptop to read the codes from the truck? How do you get the cable from the truck to the laptop? Thanks.

+97935 c242 The software name is DDDL software and the adapter is a NEXIQ USB link. You can buy them online or at your local heavy duty tools supplier. My only recommendation will be to to buy a 2013 or older DDDL because this one doesn't require a year subscription.

Problem is not the sensor but scr box.If you wish ,you can spend 10k to replace the box.

Bypass is you leave the old sensor installed on the hole is normally and disconnect the plug from the old sensor and get a new sensor and just connect the plug to the new one and hide the sensor and secure it that way don't go all over the place
