Amazing sounds! I think the Buxom boost sounds perfect with the Pittbull and the Golden Pearl with the Marshall!

@@DanLeggatt ....picking it up today! Just arrived at the store. I also added +1 OD-BE (...because hi-gain 🤦♂️, lol!). Can’t wait!!! Will report back once I’ve dialled/played. ...long overdue for some Marshall flavours. Glad I pulled the trigger... ...as mentioned, your review was a real benefit and and gave me the confidence to ‘jump in’ and get rigged up with one. Stay well brother & keep doing what you do 😎.

Thank you for this great demo. This was I was waiting for since I have an Origin and a LP Studio. Both pedals are great with Origin but none could transform it into a High gain heavy metal machine. So I think any pedal can... this was the last shot for me... Still very useful demo and great tones though.

Unfortunately if you are playing an Origin and want a heavy metal tone, you have got the wrong amp 😂 Your best bet might be to run it clean and use a distortion pedal. Like the 5150 pedal or Friedman BE-OD perhaps?

@@TT-cz6cn no. Mostly using it cleanish with pedals. I still prefer it to recent DSLs... I think my solution would be a mini silver jubille but I don't have money for that now

Nice video Dan! Which speaker do you have in that Laney? I swapped my stock LC30 mk1 out with a creamback and it sprang to life on its own, reckon with a Friedman it'll do even better.

I don’t have any in my collection at the moment. I did have a Les Paul Special on loan but it’s now gone back. Looking to add p90’s as a permanent fixture soon 👍

@@DanLeggatt Don't think you will have any regrets. I have four guitars in my collection with P90's and they all sound very different but I love them all equally... I've found that the P90's sound amazing on a lot of the Kemper rigs. I think I would have had a look at these pedals if I was still playing live music..Cheers Dan

Do you think there is much difference between BB and a regular EQ used as a booster just like Boss EQ7 or MXR 10?

For me definitely. You could get similar results with an EQ but not the same. Especially with the tight control.

A lot of Laney’s have great cleans to be honest. I think they great really overlooked.

@@jasonhampton2792 Really tough call. My personal preference would probably be the Buxom as it has so much tone shaping. It will definitely push your breakup over the edge but if you want a fair bit more gain, go with the Pearl 👍

I have a runt 20 Friedman amp I want to enhance my tone and add more dirt without getting too loud. What peda would you go with if you had to choose only 1?

@@richardwalley2862 It's a tough call, I think they would both work great. If it were me, I would go with the Buxom Boost. It has a little more tone shaping and really just sounds like your amp but more.

You said the VHT is very tight but them you said the Buxom nicely tightened up the low end of the VHT?

The VHT has a very controlled and tight low end but you could still use further sculpting for super tight metal or drop tunings. Also any boost I think needs the low end shaving off but that falls into personal preference.

@@DanLeggatt Thanks, I love your videos by the way. Did you say the Pearl is bright? I don't want bright but I do want a good boost, mid boost to go with my Buxom. I have a Buxom and Eros and not sure about the Eros. Maybe replace wirh Deadweld Duality or Friedman Pearl.

I recently got the Golden Pearl and its awesome... now I want a Buxom Boost. 1 question, did you try stacking them together into a clean amp? Just wondering what it would sound like as I'm a big fan of stacking boost into low gain overdrive pedals. Great reviews 👌🏼
