Thank you for staying on the Montreal story. Listening to those men in Montreal not care and want to move on with the season made my blood boil. Thank you for being positive, good voices in hockey and not letting this or the Chicago problem go away. These incidents have consequences that last longer then a hockey season and it’s consistently the same “hockey men” who commit these terrible actions and never face any of the consequences their victims live with everyday.

Tavares left money on the table to come here. Matthews never held out he got his extension the season before. He didn't become an RFA. Marner and Nylander played hardball to get their money. The 2 wingers. Nylander's contract has actually become value. Marner's should be $2 to $2.5 mil less.

I can't see how you can put the leafs before the habs in the division. Goaltending Price will be back at the start of the year and Allen has been good. For the Leafs Campbell had one great year and Mrazek is a decent goalie at best. Defense between both team its a coin flip habs have Petry Edmundson Chiarot & Savard on the top 4 for now and Leafs have Rielly Muzzin Holl & Brodie last pair is probably Romanov Kulak for habs and maybe Dermott Sandin for leafs. Forward leafs has 4 elite players (Marner Tavares Matthews Nylander) and thats pretty much it the depth in this roster is meh except for maybe Kerfoot & Robertson. Habs Forward they have a good young core of Caufield (still a rookie) Suzuki Kotkaniemi & Evans. They also count Toffoly & Hoffman good Goal Scorer. Anderson, Gallagher, Armia, Byron, Lekhonen are all working hard. Oh and Drouin is coming back healthy.

Thoughts on bogosian: before free agency started he said he was going back to the states because of covid restrictions in ontario i dont think it had as much to do with not wanting to play for the leafs

As Canucks fan I completely agree that the past few years has been atrocious and just a huge mess but Jesse saying “get a new box” implies that Pettersson, Hughes, Boeser, Demko, and Horvat don’t work well together. These guys have played together 1 year “healthy” and were the drivers of the playoff run in ‘20 (check the stats). It would be completely fair to say that the box has been completely thrown out if you’re considering how almost half our lineup (outside of the core) has been shipped. Eriksson, Beagle, Roussel, Holtby, Schmidt, Edler, Chatfield = OUT Garland, Podkolzin, Dickinson, OEL, Poolman, Schenn, Halak = IN that’s a 3rd of your team completely retooled. You guys even said it yourself, the pacific is a garbage division. The Canucks always matched up poorly to the eastern Canadian teams, had no doubt the worst starting schedule in the league in ‘20, went half the games without their #1C, went through the internal drama of losing locker room leaders, and then COVID. The Canucks top 9 in Petey/Miller/Boeser/Garland/Horvat/Hoglander/Podkolzin/Pearson/Dickinson alone will probably push for a top 2-3 spot in the division in a normal 82-game schedule

To the highschool weighted exams convo, I actually did the opposite for all my English classes, I knew I’d ace the exam, because it was basically just a book report, so I did nothing all semester, all 4 years, walked into the exam with a grade in the low 30’s, ace the exam, and pass with a 51 or 52.
