Thanks so much! I feel like that’s the hardest part of doing these so I’m so glad you felt it was easy to follow!

I love this pen. Side note: I recently was googling “best archival pens” , as I’m an artist and wanting to see if there was another type of pen I wanted to buy, and the results were really odd and not helpful. One article from a memory-keeping/scrapbooking blog suggested this pen because it’s erasable so you don’t have to worry about messing up. I wanted to throw my phone across the room and hunt down every person who had read that article to tell them “please do not listen to this person. If you record your family’s precious memories with this pen and then have a hot day one summer or leave the notebook in a car once then YOUR WORDS WILL LITERALLY DISAPPEAR”

You’d be better off with the worst dollar store not-acid-free pink gel pen because at least there would be something there to read, however distorted or yellowed. At least it wouldn’t be just 100% wiped from existence 😂

I haven't done much embroidery but I do a lot of hand appliqué and when I heard about these pens I really was hopeful and wanted them to work. My experience with quilting cotton was that they left white lines and didn't disappear. I also know other quilters who had similar issues and we have all tossed them. My advice if you want to use them test an area on a small scrap first. Better safe than sorry!

I used to use hose for sewing pattern markings and have had the ghost lines too. Ugh! I stopped using them for sewing my clothes, and just use chalk. But I still use the others for more crafty things I.e. purses, tote bags or embroidery project bags.

Yes! I found quite a few people that sew saying that too!

Will the marks wash out, such as on a piece of clothing?

in regards to using water soluable and a micron; is that just a regular kind of finelining/art pen? i read like ONE article saying that the ink went into the fabric when they washed it off instead of rinsing away with the water soluable and now i'm afraid to sink 6hrs of embroidery and fabric to test it myself haha

Would these pens erase just as well with a hair dryer?

This pen is good but if you do go over a design to fix it then the ink penetrates even more resulting in visible design lines that do no disappear no matter what with the heat.

These remind me of the blue quilting pens. You sprayed them with water and they disappeared. BUT if you forgot and left it in, it would leave a gray permanent line behind when you dampened it. Ruined my quilt.

These pens were designed for paper not cloth. If you iron the design off you can put the fabric in the freezer for 5 mins or so and the design will come back.

Yep! I mentioned all of this in the video. A lot of people like to use them when they know they are able to cover up all the marks or they’re able to avoid exposing the embroidery to cold temperatures.
