I enjoy watching your videos. I water fasted 32 days in 2019 and dropped 50 lbs. I maintained a 40 lb loss for months until the Covid confinement started and I binge ate myself back to starting weight again. I had you in my subscriptions and was so encouraged when you returned. You are motivating me to get back into the weight loss game. No extreme fasting again though. I will be Following your plan with shorter rolling fasts. I Just completed a 67 hour fast with a four hour refeed. Started the clock again for an 84 hour fast to get me to a nice thanksgiving feast on Thursday. Rolling fasts until I get to my goal weight. Thanks you for the encouragement. You are not alone in the struggle.

Hi there, I have recently subscribed to Jerome @finallyfasting as I think his fasting approach might help me too with getting my binge eating problem under control. I came across your comment on one of Jerome's videos he made about 5 months ago. You stated that you fasted for 32 days and had lost 50 lbs. I don't think I could fast for so many days and I am in awe of you having done this. It's unfortunate that you binge ate your way back to starting weight. This resonated with me quite a lot since my binge eating resulted in excessive weight gain. Jerome has also motivated me to start my weight loss journey again doing rolling fasts. I agree with you that a more moderate fasting approach such as shorter rolling fasts might be preferable to avoid a yo-yo situation. How are things going for you? Would like to hear if shorter rolling fasts have resulted in a positive outcome. Best wishes 😊

Jerome, I eat meat and fruit on my refeed days (as much as I want) and I only gain a negligible amount of weight. I have found that macadamia nuts and pork rinds really help when I want a salty/crunchy snack that won’t cause me to pack on the pounds. No one should be telling you what to eat or how to eat but the truth is that processed foods and refined carbs can easily lead to a prolonged binge. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I’m fasting right along with you. 15lbs down 🙌🏾

Yes im addictive to carbs and sugar so I stay keto and carnivore because I tend to snowball..binge if I let my brain feel that adrenalin with sugar and carb. All people in my family died related to sugar and carbs and had diabetes or alcoholic issues but thats also sugar and carbs addiction. Fat and carnivore heals brain together with fasting..and you never crave with protein and fat..animal fat..20gram carbs is ok but carnivore really curbs carb addiction...hope that helps anyone reading this. Have a wonderful day Jenny

Actually, long fasts are sustainable. Digestion is hard on the body. The more we can stay in a fasted state, the less oxidation and the longer we live. If you have fat you need to lose, the longer fasts are great. I fasted 14 days and could have kept going because I felt so good. When you don't have fat to lose anymore, then you can still fast even a few days at a time as long as you still have enough fat on your body to be able to do that. I think humans should fast as much as possible.

I have no idea why watching you eat helped me so much but when my mind wanted to break fast, those videos were my go to and seriously saved me but then came 2021 and my first full time job since having kids and the stress of it all saw me gain it all back, I 100% understand how you did the same. Jerome, it is so good to see you back!!! I've thought about you and wondered what happened and was so glad to see you posting again, yippee!! I know you will get to your goal again and will be able to stick because as you have mentioned, it is a mental thing. I think most of us never get that and that is why we battle forever. Our minds are so powerful. I've been fighting my battle for at least 40 years! Yes, I'm now in my 60's and still fighting but I finally got the mental aspect down and I'm not worried anymore...it's happening for sure. My problem is that I always felt not good enough and was judged on my weight...it seemed the only thing anyone ever noticed about me. To this day, I don't accept being fat...no, no, no. For me, it means if I accept it, it is ok and it will hang around and I can't have that. So I hate my fat, I really do, lol!!! I don't know if that is good or not but it's working for me right now. I do, however, no longer place my value in my weight. I am good, and valuable because I am a human being, regardless of how much i weigh. Now I am losing weight because I value myself, my health and I want to have the best and longest life and in my mind, fat is going to keep me from that. I have to give glory to God because in His word He says that we are all good and He created us all in His image and we have great value. So now if anyone tries to put me down for my weight, I just remember what He says and that it is the truth. We all have to find that thing that strengthens us and helps us to get through difficulties and win the battles and God is what works for me. l'm just so happy to see you back and you are finding what works for you but bottom line, it is what we think more than what we do. Again, so good to see you back and I have subscribed so that I can follow along again. I wish I could reach out and give you a big hug just because it's so good to see you and you look great!! Take care!

Your what you are you you mate. Nothing for us. We have to make our own peace with our weight and health journey. What we all need to be able to do is not eat our feelings. Therapy is a better option here than fasting. Let's fast forward 12 months from now. Weight is gone. Then what. Stress is gonna come someone close to you is gonna die that's a given. What are you gonna do then. Eat the weight back on. I think you tube for you is a no no. But if your gonna do it do not read the comments turn them off. I hear your heart but I think you need to do 200% what your therapist says. Your way is not a long term life plan. You have to be able to eat normal everyday.

We get fat because we overeat. So it only makes sense that to lose it, we need to undereat. If we cut back on food, the body senses a famine and holds onto the fat. Fasting doesn't allow that to happen, so it's really the only option that makes sense. Exercise will help, but it's not near as effective as fasting.
