Number sixteen in our series of watercolor Christmas card tutorials for 2023 is a quick and easy snowman, and I have a trick or two up my sleeve to help you achieve lovely interesting texture on the hat, the scarf and the snowman himself in no time at all! We'll be uploading a new tutorial every day in November, and they will all be quick, simple and easy-to-do so you can fit them into spare moments or sit down with the kids or grandkids to enjoy a happy time together getting in the festive mood.

Bonjour Diane , il est chouette ce bonhomme de neige , la technique de la bougie ca rend toujours bien . C est une bonne idee de faire des pages de tes livres 365 , le bleu c etait un best seller , moi je l ai termine , ainsi que le rouge , il y en a 5 en tout de la serie 365 , les 3 autres j en suis a la moitie je fais petit a petit au fur et a mesure de mes envies . On a 2 points commun j aime dessiner et je suis allergique au mistral a la pollution et a Marseille on est gate la salete les rats les crottes de chien , les poubelles pas videes ... la liste est longue , je cherche une petite maison dans un petit village plus respirable . A bientot mon amie bises

Oh, que c’est dommage que les belles villes de France souffrent ainsi de tel traitement. Nous aussi avons des problèmes ici avec un manque de volonté de travailler - très difficile de trouver les artisans compétents ou meme un dentiste qui accepte les nouveaux clients. Et rien a été fait après la tempête pour sauver la nature. Mais on n’a pas le droit de se plaindre. « Vous êtes vielle, vous ne comprenez rien et votre avis compte pour rien. » Cherchez une petit maison en Bretagne et on serait voisines!

Your snowman is adorable. I watched this several times…did i miss something? How did you get the paint to stay after applying wax? How did you remove the wax? Did you remove it?

No, I don’t think you missed anything! The paint stayed fine on the wax in places enough, probably because it’s Kuretake paint and a little bit more like gouache than watercolour. I didn’t remove any of the wax, it doesn’t show. Hope you enjoyed it!
