I’m a Kuwaiti student in the U.S. I didn’t visit my country for year and a half. And know you just made feel happy that there is people actually know Kuwait. Many people in the U.S do not even hear about this country when I tell them where I am from.

That was excellent. It was truly moving to see the homage they set up for their fallen due to the invasion. Your delivery was well respectful. The camels were surprisingly docile and cute. Then you made us laugh with your dress up! Mandy, you looked elegantly appropriate in those dresses but Lee, who "knocked it out of the park", looked like he was a Kuwaiti high born. A great highlight in this vid. The rest was more of what you do so well - treat us all to taste of what is possible if one "gets on with it". As always, thanks for sharing your travels.

Hi Mandy / Lee, thanks for the vlog. You guys got lucky with Khaled as he was more than just a host. It was nice seing you wearing their traditional clothes, seeing what their market looks like (as a fish & fruits lover, that's heaven to me 🤤) Also it was interesting to see that camel farm, they are magnificent animals. After spending 2 years in Portugal, we definitely aren't looking at settling anywhere for quite a while as are thoroughly enjoying travelling again! We will mix slow travel with spending quality time with family in New Zealand, Australia and the UK, and with housesitting in Abu Dhabi and Portugal. I must confess that I preferred Abu Dhabi to Dubai, and I loved our time in Kuwait... a lot of that was due to our wonderful host, Khaled! We're looking forward to sharing the remaining 3 Kuwait videos, then showing our adventures in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Are you required by law to have your head covered or did you do it out of respect?

That's a great question. It's not required by law, and I saw a number of females with their heads uncovered. As most Kuwaitis, male and female, wear traditional dress, I decided to wear a headscarf whenever we were around others, out of respect. ~ Mandy
