Ever get the gas nozzle stuck on your fuel filler metal edge? I did, a lot and basically ripped it out of my truck. So today I am finally replacing it.

Just installed this on my 2018 1500. Too many embarrassing moments of getting stuck on CA pumps. It also corrected the issue of the gas sensor stopping the pump before completely full. Easy install. Only thing is that I noticed my mile range is fluctuating by about + or - 5-10 miles but the actual avg mpg is solid.

Any update on that fluctuation thing? I wanna do this to my 2017 but that detail makes me feel uneasy about it snd makes me wonder if i should just get the black housing instead of the new less step neck

Did this part fix the angle problem causing the pump to get stuck in the first place? I have an 2018 ram 1500 sport that I have issues with fueling no matter where I go.

Great video, did this correct the steep angle problem getting the nozzle to go in/ out ? 2015/19 had a new design that was too steep & the nozzle didn't fit without a fight. A lower pump handle/nozzle angle would fix it

what was the name of the part you just kept and put on the new filler tube? i want to get a new 1 of those on top of doing this. my truck cnt pump gas without a funnel so i dont want to take any risks.

Should fall under a warranty repair, my weekly solution is to first insert a flat carpenter’s pencil along side the nozzle this helps to break the vacuum and releases the nozzle in a normal fashion.

Does anyone can tell me where I can purchase this part. I have a hard time every time I put gas on my truck. I have a 2018 Ram 1500 and I was literally thinking about getting rid of the truck because of this.

Was this throwing a code for evap error. I can not seem to get the error to go away. Changed purge valve evap canister gas cap and smoked all the lines. Idk what else it could be about to wrap this this around a pole.

I'm about to try this for mine. I think there is a pin hole in the breather tube part of the filler neck. Wasn't able to get gas in the winter and there was ice build up in the tube.

I have the same problem. I’ve replaced everything I can think of. Did you ever figure out what was throwing the evap code?

I too have been getting evap code. Originally p0456, including engine light and fuel cap light. Replaced ESiM and fuel cap with OEM parts, still get the code. Dealer THEN tells me it's throwing code p0455 (large vapor leak), said they need to replace the entire gas tank (said they did a smoke test, leak is in an unservicable hose or something like that). Want $2500 to replace it. This is bogus. Anyone else experiencing this or find a solution?

Must be a Cali pump thing....I have no idea of the cause you described at the beginning. Nice work though.

Why not fix under warranty? I heard this was a problem in previous DS RAM but also the new DT. My 19" Rebel there was one time it was hard to remove. Most times it comes out without much effort, sometimes gets hung up a little but pulls out after a little finessing. Seems to happen more at Costco pump nozzles. Since Costco in San Diego is so cheap, I don't mind.
