To even up the variation i buss the injectors two to three times in the ultrasonic bath. And normally that closes the differences.

That's neat. My first car was a 1972 Volkswagen bug with a carburetor. Rain was a big problem with that design.

Is the wiring harness that is provided a universal fit or do you need different fuel injectors wire hardness connectors for various vehicles? Can you back flush the injectors, how do you do that?

It came with the harness. I've only used it on Toyota injectors. It's fit all of them so far. It doesn't have any way to back flush.

@@OTRAMM Thank you for the fast reply. Does the wiring harness have a quick disconnect so that it can be interchanged to other wiring harness for other vehicles. I have three different vehicles here two of them have electrical connectors where the older vehicle has a CIS mechanical fuel injectors no electrical connections. Would your machine be able to clean those too? BTW your video is outstanding.

For the ultrasonic Simple Green Aircraft extreme. In the flow portion Techron fuel injector cleaner.

We don't clean them as a separate charge. It's bundled in to big repairs like head gaskets. The tool wasn't to expensive. Maybe 500?

I have. I used a generic denso in tank pump. I can't remember what it was made for though.

They just flip up and dump back in to the reservoir.

Simple green aircraft extreme and water in the ultrasonic. Marvel mystery oil cut with techron in the flow tester.

How/why did you choose these fluids? I’ve heard many recommendations for 75% or greater isopropyl alcohol as a test fluid

I was more after cleaning than a test fluid that would mimic gas. I liked the oily residue of marvel mystery oil to keep things from corroding before install. It was too viscous for the tester on its own so I cut it with techron. Nothing scientific, just what was readily available in the parts room.

I bought 1 after i watched this and the manufacturer suggested to change fluids every 3months of use. Or if there is a significant change in color.

I just purchased a 04 LX. Is it common to have a gas smell in the engine oil?

Can't say that I've ever noticed a gas smell in the oil.

Best guess would be a leaking fuel injector dumping fuel.

@@OTRAMM Thanks. On a related note, I have 8 12-hole injectors that I wanted to install. Do you have any tips on how to replace fuel injectors? I am hoping for some tips on how to drain the fuel lines prior to install...

Where did you buy this and how much? Have seen some similar on eBay and amazon, but looking for a good one for home use around $500 thanks

I'm pretty sure it was from Ebay. I want to say it was around 400 but it's been a few years since I bought it.

OTRAMM I seen on another comment about what you use, how much of the simple green aircraft extreme to water do you use and same about what you use for flow testing. Or are you using different solutions now? Thank you

It's been forever since I've used it. The aircraft extreme I use straight and top off a bit with water as I spill stuff. The flow tester I use a big bottle of mystery oil but with a bottle of 44k or other injector cleaner. The mystery oil is too thick on it's own to get a good spray pattern. They make actual test fluid for them but I don't use the machine often enough to bother.

I don't think so. GDI is higher pressure.

The red fluid is a mix of marvel mystery oil and BG44k the marvel is too thick on it's own but I like the oily coat it leaves. The ultrasonic has simple green aircraft extreme and water.

Seen it on Ebay and I have been wanting to buy one for my motorcycle shop but I can not get straight answers from the ebay supplier as to what chemicals to use for cleaning and testing. What are you using and how has the machine worked for you.

We use simple green aircraft extreme in the ultrasonic portion. I use techron injector cleaner in the flow tester. We don't use it enough to buy the real calibrated fluid. You have to be careful of fire using the techron though. I've been happy with it. The pump died after about two years but it's just a generic high pressure fuel pump so an easy fix.

The fluid is a funky color. It's a mix of marvel mystery oil and techron

Dumb question here ,i see six injectors ,if i need to clean 8 will the machine allow the extra 2 to be cleaned by them self ,reason im asking is im wanting to purchase this machine

Yes it has plugs to block off the extra holes so you could do two batches of four.
