Showing the process of building the fuel system for the pickup. I used a Holley electric red pump, Holley billet 6AN 100 micron fuel filter, 6AN braided stainless steel hose, Summit 40 micron filter, and assortment of fittings. Thanks for watching! Future channel projects include my 2016 chevy ss cam and headers install and a third gen firebird 5.3 turbo build.

I ran -6 to my pump and -4 for return with a Holley blue pump. Cured my vapor lock issues 440 mopar mill.

IMO. The best way to cut stainless braided is wrapping a zip tie around the line and cut through it parallel and straight through the clamp area as a guide the gently peel tie off and a perfect straight cut and no frays. I get them first time every time that way…my .02

FYI, after cutting the braided line, leave the tape on so it is easier to put the nut fitting on. then you can pull the tape off. No screwdriver needed.

Hello, as an old aircraft mechanic the job looks very good. Vibration and stainless steel braided hose will wear though the rubber like a file in no time. If you could get a small roll of teflon tape, wrap it around the braided hose under the clamp, where the clamp is closed and tight not deformed, the tape will allow the hose and clamp to move freely from heat destortion. Looks nice keep up the good work

I did close to what your doing I ran my 6 an line up the firewall and across to avoid the engine & exhaust heat. Worked out great. I have my filter and regulator there too so they're easy to change. Nice looking job. Mines a 65 GTO.

Awesome video man. About to tackle this project soon on a Chevelle and Never done it before. I’ve been thumbing through a bunch of videos on here that didn’t really answer the questions I had. But, this is perfect man. I normally don’t comment on shit but, this was extremely helpful.

Nice video very helpful 👍 I would suggest a shut off valve between the pump and the tank. It makes future filter changes or repairs a breeze.

Concerning AN sizes, 6 AN is 6/16" or 3/8" if this helps. Most likely the 3/8" is NPT threads. AN is Army/Navy adopted sizing.

I really liked the diagram. I just think you should of included the wiring also. Can you explain how you did your hot wire?
@Robs_garage90
@Robs_garage90 4 жыл бұрын
Sorry for the late reply. I ended up using the power wire that would have been used for the factory fuel pump because it originally had a electric in tank pump.

@@mafosa8519 A return line back to the tank virtually eliminates vapor lock issues as the fuel stays a lot cooler and don't boil to vapor. Hope this helps. Select a fuel pressure regulator with the by-pass back to tank. Holley has good kits for Carb or EFI.
