I just purchased from jvn. If I'm not mistaken, their stuff is made to be mixed and matched with other products of theirs. Like I got the strengthening shampoo and hydrating conditioner. It has a quiz so you can find out what exactly your hair needs and you can alter it to your own preferences

@@NemesisMarie It dried me out and My waves were just blah. My hair is a mixture of waves and curls due to the gray hair. But the products did not work for me just left me frizzy. Thank you tho for all of your thorough reviews!

Did you love it as much on the second or third days? I’ve found some creams look great the first day and then are greasy and frizzy the second.

Hey babes! They both achieve something very similar, the main difference in my opinion is that the JVN is slightly thinner, feels more like a “serum” than an oil.

Hi luv! You don’t HAVE to, I just highly prefer it because it gives more volume at the root, and it’s faster for me. My hair can take 6 hours to air dry lol.

Which of the shampoo and conditioners would you recommend the most for wavy/curly hair?

Omg this is so hard cuz it depends on what you usually struggle with the most. If you have thicker thirsty curls, the Nurture one is ✨a godsend✨ but if you’re more like me, curls are not super thick, and it can catch tons of build up, then the Embody one is best.

Hi. I suffer with frizz and I just took the quiz on the JVN site and ordered the volumizing shampoo, nurture conditioner and the air cream (a free full size bottle of conditioner came as a gift) on sale for $48 and free shipping! I have not used it yet but I am will tomorrow.

I haven't tried anything from Mixed Chicks babes, im sorry! But if you're looking for an affordable leave-in conditioner, I love the Curl Spray one from Kristin Ess. Very lightweight so it's easy for low porosity hair to absorb

I LOVE mixed chicks leave in. For me, I could even just use the leave in on days when I felt lazy and didn't want to style my hair lol and it looked great! I used the blueberry bliss leave in now and it's just not as good as mixed chick's imo. Mixed chicks gave a nice shine without being too heavy (for reference, I have mostly the same curl pattern as nemesis, but I have more texture than her hair and the very front of my hair has tighter curls).
