I can understand her plight. As a mother of 3 married to my HS sweetheart, I can understand when she says she hates the person that she has become because of him. There is happiness within yourself free from a person who drained your soul/spirit. from a once broken soul. Please know and value your worth. You deserve soooo much more

They way he came across to me on this case was 'empty'. His body language, tone and words all screamed 'I don't care. I'm done'. She on the other hand came across as tired and broken. I truly felt for her as I could see the hurt in her eyes and how at times she tried really hard to stop herself from crying. Regret will be his constant companion.

I think the main reason he wants to “work on” his marriage after years of hoeing is because he doesn’t want to pay child support and/or alimony because that would mean he would have to get a j-o-b! Smh. Also, he doesn’t deserve any woman of decent character and self-respect. He has major cognitive and emotional issues and some financial illiteracy. Also, I pray she takes time to focus on herself and her children, rebuilding her self-worth/value.

Her parents did her a HUGE disservice by allowing her to get married that young. So much life experience has been taken from her.

High school sweethearts can work - my parents were that. But they also had a plan. He joined the Marines, she went to college. They didn't get married until both those gigs were finished and they both had jobs. After the wedding, they had my sister and me, Mom stayed home with us until I hit kindergarten, then she went back to work. Erika and Shaun were too young to make babies and marry, and that derailed them right away. They were still kids themselves and didn't understand what they had gotten into as far as responsibilities. And instead of getting their heads on straight back then, they just continued as they were, cranking out more kids they couldn't afford, and behaving badly to each other. Better off apart - and she needs to keep his feet to the fire about keeping up with support.

Okay, let’s cut the crap he didn’t want to stay in the marriage because he loved her he only did it so his ass can continue with his unemployed self and not have to pay child support. She looked so miserable and you can literally see the heartbreak in her eyes so I’m very happy that she left him and I hope that she stays away from him and can just co parent. She is a very beautiful woman and deserves so much better I hope she can find happiness. I was glad to see that he got 2 jobs hopefully he will financially help her with their kids and can stay employed.

I'm caught between feeling she may have thought he was gonna make it big as a basketball player why she chose to tough it out and that she truly fell in love and wanted to make things work, but her love isn't enough to make him want to be a better man. They've been together since they were teenagers so he wasn't done sowing his oats and because she's the mother of his kids, she wants to keep her family together. Have to decide at what time you stop carrying a torch for someone before you wear yourself down to nothing, but a shell of your former self.

I am SO happy with the ending. FINALLY a woman had enough sense to say enough is enough on this show and actually LEAVE. I think he gave up. I believe that he was not willing to get married and was forced into it by their parents. He thinks of the marriage as a punishment and reacts to it like a teenager. I kind of feel sorry for both of them but at the same time I am supper pissed at their parents who allowed this to happen I mean it's their job to guide their kids.

First off, how is this house “his”? Did he have the cash to pay it in full? Without a job for over two years? Seems like to me that her income would have gone to paying for the house which would make it commingled assets that would need to be equitably divided in a divorce. Second, this is the whole entire reason for the overhaul in the legal system that only recently (in legislative history) provided child support for the woman- so that she wouldn’t be trapped in a relationship because he could hold asset-ownership in his name over her. Okay. I just had to vent that. Now time to un-pause so that I can finish watching.

I believe in true love but both partners need to be willing to put in the work. I think she loved him unconditionally to the point where he was her whole world. But he’s not willing to grow past who he is he’s a 32 year old child & her 5th child. I’m happy she’s grown past him & willing to journey out on her own to make herself happy.
