In this video, Delaware & Raritan River Railroad (DRR) local JB-02 makes its usual Friday run from Jamesburg, NJ, to Lakewood, NJ, and back. With the F&S connection complete and a new bridge over Lake Manalapan substantially complete, the DRR, a subsidiary of Chesapeake & Delaware (C&D), conducts all operations out of Jamesburg. In this case, the trip to Lakewood requires the crew to traverse the entire Freehold Secondary and roughly ten miles of the Southern Secondary from Farmingdale to Lakewood. Leading the train is BDRV GP9 752, which has been the workhorse of this operation as of late.
This video covers just about every bit of the JB-02's run on both lines. We start bright and early in Jamesburg, following the train through Monroe, Englishtown, Manalapan, Freehold, Howell, and Lakewood. The train consisted of five cars for Woodhaven Lumber and one tank car for Laird & Company, with the tank being spotted inside the Brick Recycling facility in Wall Township.
