I’ve been watching your channel for years now and I have to say you’re so inspiring. I’ve always wanted to learn new languages and move out of the US too but I thought it was just a dream however seeing you be afraid and yet trying so many new things anyway has woken me up and now I find myself learning Japanese, trying to move to Spain and focusing on traveling the world so thank you, I don’t think I would’ve had the courage to go for it without seeing your journey

So glad I found your channel this morning! I love your heart. It comes through in all 3 of your videos I’ve so far… Einstein, complicated Romance, and now renovating an apt in Paris! May I suggest “rough hewn” as the style of your table? Masculinity and strength. Love your parents’ youthfulness & enthusiasm! I’m 70 & wish I could meet an older version of you. I’d be smitten! Gotta run. Heading into yoga class! Be well and stay true to yourself. You are like a breath of fresh air!

Love this video! I am an interior designer & what I always tell clients--what I know in my core--is that the space you live in, everything about that space (color, texture, forms, shapes, light, etc.) impacts you physically, mentally, emotionally & spiritually. Your environment must be a reflection of you. Nobody comes to your home to have an experience of Architectural Digest. They come to have an experience of you. Additionally the functionality of your space must be a match for the way you live. If you are passionate about cooking & spend a lot of time in your kitchen don't use real marble. It is high maintenance & stains easily. Instead use a quartz based product like Silestone. It will wear forever, it won't stain, very low maintenance, equivalent cost & the quartz is anti-bacterial. So relax a bit, try to enjoy the process, take your time. Ask questions, talk to professionals, check out options. Life is always about the process--not just the result. That is sometimes hard for artists to wrap their head around. At least it has been for me.

YES to the importance of living in beautiful surroundings! When I've expressed this to non-artists I think they sometimes misperceive it as shallowness, but I am as moved by a $3.00 thrift store cup or a literal stone picked up by the side of the road as any of my more expensive items. Some people seem genuinely impervious to ugly environments, but I suspect that even for many non-artists, there is a subliminal magic to being immersed in a beautiful space. ✴❤✴Kudos for prioritizing this for yourself!

Nathaniel, your joy (despite the hurdles and challenges) just leaps from the screen! I’ve been following your journey for years and I feel so happy and excited for you. Take your time and enjoy the process, remind yourself that you’ll only ever get to renovate your first apartment, for the first time, ONCE. I went through many of the challenges that you’re going through now, when I first started renovating my first house. 20 years later, I look on that time with such fondness. I learned a lot of new skills, and more importantly; I learned so much about myself. Thanks for taking me along on your journey, Tracy 🥰

You have my utmost sympathy - my husband and I have been living through a gut kitchen/downstairs bathroom/mudroom renovation since May...and probably still another month to go. It will be a long time before I order take out or eat in a restaurant, once this is over. But today, I take joy in seeing plaster going up. You have to enjoy the pockets of progress wherever you can. Suerte, suerte, suerte - can't wait to see the rest of the transformation unfold.

It's amazing how we are going through (literally) the exact same situation. I've been moving from Argentina to Portugal since the beginning of the year, and experienced the same... "excitement" that you have been going through. Ever since that first moment when we got the news for the visa and residence. Literally the same experience. I'm also doing it with the help of my parents, and it's teaching me so much. Being able to watch your videos about this change it's like talking with a friend that gets all the jokes you tell him. I'm also here to pursue my dream of "living the life that I want to live". So I'm grateful to you, because you have also inspired me to do my best. It important to note that, our process has been so similar that you bought THE EXACT SAME COFFE MACHINE that I bought. Please, tell me more about coincidences. Anyways, thank you for sharing this kind of content with people. I really believe you are making a difference.

Take your time and take us along with you...it is so much more real. It's so easy to desire the final end product (NOW!), but then you do not get to celebrate and absorb each little victory. I am 75 and just began powerlifting. I would love to be instantly transformed, but I've realized taking it slow and savoring each little victory as I inch forward with my personal records is much more satisfying as I learn along the way. BTW, been watching you for a couple of years and I love EVERY video!

As another experiencing all these feelings this year, this video was cathartic. Seeing you capture and express in such a beautiful way an enclosure of wood, drywall, wires, and pipes teach you many lessons. Make you frustrated, cry, and exhausted. Reminding us how hard it is to get to that destination you want with something that on the outside seems so simple. I have remodeled 3 rooms so far in 8 months. Living in the mess is so hard. Controlling the dust even harder. Doing it while you have a job, other goals you work towards, enjoying life and spending enough time with people you care about, I have become amazed with cities. They have so many buildings of imense size that are less than 100 years old. It's hard enough to make a rectangular prism stand on its own, humans took the extra time to make extravagant works of art out of these domiciles.

Loving seeing this and just learned this lesson myself. Last year started a gut Reno (sans bathroom) of my small studio apt and it took more than twice as long as I had planned, and it still isn’t done even though I’ve moved back in. There’s so much tedious work that goes into renovations that you don’t think about or don’t think will take as long, but every step and detail matters. Totally worth all the hard work considering how much time we spend in our homes! Can’t wait to see your next update

You could definitely add some vintage. Go down to the thrift and buy some knobs, lamps and candleholders. Don't forget a few plants.

It is hard to describe what made this video so special, but I think that seeing the enthusiasm you are tackling this project with makes me feel very alive and excited about life. The world needs more people who has fire in their souls and the fact that you are able to capture this energy in such an authentic way is truly incredible. I found it super relatable what you said about patience and it is a lesson I need to learn too. The apartment looks beautiful already, and I'm looking forward to follow along this journey.
