Full Review | Meca Cup 1 - 200kg Loadcell Racing Simulator Pedals.

Full track test of the Meca Cup1's. These pedals have been around a while and I heard many good things so today we bolt them to the rig and find out if they stack up to the hype? Also we compare the data to the VRS pedals to see where they land.
Today we are using the iRacing Platform at Autódromo José Carlos Pace (Interlagos) in the Porsche 911 Carrera Cup

My set (just got it straight from Meca) had 2 springs in the box. The new firmer one, and the old softer one. I dont think theres any 3d printed parts on it, but I cannot check right now. All I know is that the new ones doesnt need the upgrade kit

@@larsenic1245 yes I saw Boosted Media has the stainless adjuster on his. Becasue of my location the supplier just sent me his demo pedals and not boxed t keep my shipping costs down. But I will check with him and see. On their website the images are all with the same 3d printed parts. Be great if they have started shipping them with the 2 springs.

Thank you thank you for not shying away from ranking the pedals. For a simrscer living in a country where sim racing is not popular it's impossible to get access to different pedals to try out. Mine just arrived today, bought the vrs thanks to your review and others like you. I came from heusinkveld pro pedal.

Got a set a couple weeks ago and they are incredible. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with the meca cup 1 pedals😊

I’ve really been waiting for this video! I’m waiting in line for the VRS pedals, but I was a little unsure if Meca wasn’t a better option. Sticking with the VRS in the end. Thx!!!!

@@michalmikus2103 The thing with VRS is that I'm still waiting in line for my unit. If MECA can just be bought, than it's a big advantage.

Great review, thanks. I'm coming from V3's and considering an upgrade. Invictas, Meca, VRS, Simtrec, Simagic, or something.. too many damn choices. One thing I liked about Boosted Media's review on the Meca's is how they seemed to provide a good feedback on the initial threshold brake point with the first elastomer reaching it's limit.

Highly recommend the Meca's I honestly would keep them but I already had the VRS, however Meca's are easier to find at the moment. Thanks for the comment, and let me know what you go for in the end!

Yeah they are very good. Good for me. Not so good for the channel as means in less interested in spending money on other pedals 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

I take it then that VRS pedals are quite impressive for the price-point. I've been on their waitlist for months, hopefully I'll get some soon.

I've ordered the VRS-pedals on the 19th of April and the progress bar for the waiting-list is about 85% full. I've bought the HE Ultimates in the meantime and probably will cancel the order anyway.

Do you have the new, or the old, throttle pedal? (The new one is stronger/firmer than the old one)

Hi, good question, its a new pedal, but there is also a throttle upgrade kit available from Meca that I have just seen, this gives you a stronger spring, and replaces the 3d printed adjuster with a stainless steel item. its $12 extra. Would have been good to have had that on for the review!

@@pt-actuatorukltd1118 no, this is the old version. With the upgrade kit, a harder spring is installed and the black plastic screw is replaced by a metal screw.

@smokingsteelgarage - you explained why these are better than the Sprints, but you didn't say why you still rated them behind the VRS's. Given the great clutch design I would have thought these would win out. Why didn't they?

They can't compete with the feel as you come off the brake pedal that you get with the VRS. All down to having a spring instead of the rubbers. Mid phase corner from turn into apex is faster all the time with the vrs due to having so much more feeling from the brakes as you release the rpesssure.

@@SmokingSteelGarage darn it :)! I was almost at the stage of deciding on the Meca's. I guess I assumed that as most other makes use 'rubbers' rather than springs for brakes, that they would be the better option. Interesting to learn that isn't the case. Ugh - more research required! Thanks!! Appreciate your help!
