There is no comparison dear. The Boomerbuggy X (BBX) is a Cadillac compared to this MK2 which is more like an old VW Beetle. TBH, the Boomer Buggy X is a much bigger machine with bigger features. It's built like a mini car. Whereas the MK2 is a weak expensive enclosed four wheel mobility scooter with some minor upgrades. The BBX has storage inside the vehicle or can take 2 passengers (6-7 year olds) or a big grocery shopping haul. It doesn't rely on a flimsy plastic lock box on the outside of the vehicle. Both of these have a Lithium option but BBX goes one step further and adds a solar roof option MK2 does not have. Notice how each time he slams the door, the whole vehicle shakes? The BBX does not shake because it is built more like an actual car than a mobility scooter. Summer time it actually has an air conditioning unit and not just a fan like the MK2 does. The BBX is also rated to handle Canadian winter weather and traction (-12°C average). The only downside to the BBX is the overall size is a beast and Canadian sidewalks are four feet wide by five feet long. The BBX is 1041mm wide (41 inches) by 2286mm (90 inches) long and stands 1600mm tall. With beefy 350mm tubeless tires. Max speed is 13Kph with a whopping 60Km range. The Cabin Car MK2 is 765mm wide by 1580mm by 1690mm tall. So much smaller and with the smaller size comes smaller performance. Max range is only 35/48 Km depending on which battery option you chose. The max speed is limited to 12 Kph. The tires on the MK2 are only 228mm, so really no different than a shopping buggy. Even the type of brakes differ between the two machines. The MK2 has electronic magnetic braking, which also means if you run low on power there is no way to engage the brakes because they are ELECTRONIC. The BBX uses mechanical Hydraulic Disc Brakes and the best way to compare the two machines comes down to price. The MK2 is a whopping £7,950.00 ($12,669 CAD), whereas the BBX starts from £5019.50 ($7,999 CAD) to £6274.53 ($9,999 CAD). So though the BBX is a beast of a machine over the MK2, it's also much lower in cost. So you do the math. Do you want a smaller, slower weak expensive machine or a deluxe fully adjustable machine with double range and power for 1/4 lower in price.

The government has a program where you pay 25% of the cost of the scooter and they pay 75% of the total . Om not sure if this pertains yo this type of scooter but it does to the regular electric scooter .. u will have to get intouch with a scooter company to find out

It's a hinged plastic box mounted on an aluminum hook on the outside of the vehicle. Suitable for a single bag of groceries but in no way secure protection from thieves.

While that makes logical sense in general practice, it remains not true in all cases, such as if to consider you living on a mountain and driving downhill, that would use no power to keep in motion for the 1st segment of the tour. You could also consider farming thorium from natural sources and refining that towards a 300 year lasting type of battery that you dont have to recharge. You could also learn about crystals and how some types of them are in fact low powered self charging batteries that could be bridged into a pack. That might be a bit out of your wheelhouse, and honestly, i've never tried it as of yet, though the concepts do work beyond the limitations of theory. Could just toss a nonmelting fabric bag filled with sand into a microwave and then place it in the tiny cabin, and it would slow release the heat at a probably comfortable rate for hours, depending on the volume of easily reheated materials, or you could design such a heater and put a electric stove element in the middle of the sand regulated by a timer and or a 2 dollar thermistor sensor and a 4 dollar arduino microprocessor, actually, you could half that price if you get the arduino nano that requires a bit of soldering as its just a super tiny 3.5v powered controller, that you can actually use for 1001 uses, 1002 including this one. Thermal mass is key to efficiency, however does introduce weight based on volume/density of material. Theres even simple camping/ice hut micro propane heaters at the hardware store, i have one for a rv for emergency backup reasons, and should the zombie covid evolving brain melting apocalypse variant become exactly dangerous, and then you want a locked cabin that they can sneeze chunks of toxic deadly snot at you that the zombies say produces happy afterlives, even though they really don't in the land of cognitive reality.

It can get very windy in the UK, & if they want US customers down the road, they'll need to take snow & heavy wind gusts into consideration. Guess they figure folks would stay home in that sort of weather but folks must shop in the winter too!

Yes, people who require mobility vehicles do not need a license to operate them. So anyone can use them. As a mobility vehicle they are classed for sidewalk and indoor mall space, but it depends on the place of business if they will allow it or not. But basically if the place allowes mobility scooters inside, then this should be allowed. The overall width is a mere 31" wide, so easily fits through standard commercial 36" wide glass doors.

Hi Anila, this is classed as a mobility scooter by the DVLA. Which means you don't need a licences and you can use it on a road or pavement.

Hi Philip, This is a class 3 mobility scooter which mean you can use it on the road. The only thing you need to make sure you ca is run a power lead to it as it will need charging. These do have a facility to be charged externally, which means the doors can be left locked while charging. If you wanted added security I would recommend opting for the Alarm System, this can be added at the build process. Gives you extra security
