FULL-TIME PROFESSIONAL PANHANDLERS IN AMERICA? ITS A FACT! | Jason Asselin

Professional panhandlers are a real thing.. They really exist and are traveling America on your dime.. Some are calling them "Boondockers". Camping FREE in America using Walmarts and other places? Maybe if the shoe fits, eh?
This year in Iron Mountain, MI we've see over 7 different panhandlers who drove here and ran out of gas.. All were "travelers" who were down on their luck and hungry (or so they say).. It was fun seeing the ones who tried to hide they were driving, as if it was secret. Not one of them lived here nor had any reason to be here other than to scam money from others.
We don't have homeless wandering the streets panhandling. All these people drove here on their own free will. And they all drove to the next Walmart 50 miles away as they toured the country. People think I'm just some angry old man who stalks Walmart? I have over 12,000 fans on Facebook who message me every time they see one of these fools. I don't need to do a thing. LOL

We have that problem at Wawas in Philadelphia. They hold doors open for you and expect money for it. Literally Everytime I go to any Wawa at any time of day they will do this. At one Wawa one doorholder was in the bathroom waiting for the other to count their cash, he was staring me down as I washed my hands to hurry me up, it didn't work. At another Wawa I told the doorholder that I prepaid a coffee for him, it was cold, he DEMANDED cash, LOL. I went in and told cashier, forget him I'm taking the coffee. I wrote to Wawa and informed them of the problem, I got a generic "we'll handle" response. This is BULLSHIT

The local news here in Pittsburgh did an interview with a local panhandler that was bumming every day for years at the end of the same bridge where traffic bottlenecks into a tunnel. People looked forward to doing their good deed for the day on their way home by throwing a buck or two into his bucket. He told the news that he puts on dirty clothes and uses the same cardboard sign because it evokes sympathy and that he was making over $100 per day in just two or three hours during rush hour(s), but it pissed off his main daily supporters because they now found out he was making more money than them working hard for a full eight hours. His scam was exposed, people started yelling "get a real job" instead of contributing to his scam. He soon vanished from the bridge and wished he never spoke to the news people. Keep up the good work Jason, people like this ruin the sympathy people have for the real hungry and homeless, making it much harder for people that actually do need help.

I'm with you all the way Jason. I do my channel based on Narcissistic Personality Disorder and Anti-Social Personality Disorder (aka psychopath / sociopath) and I can guarantee you these people are either narcissists or sociopaths. That means: 1. They don't have empathy 2. They feel entitled 3. They think they're better than everyone else 4. They lack conscience 5. They enjoy manipulation 6. They are chronic liars and on and on and on. With the vast majority of these people, that's probably what your dealing with: narcissism and sociopathy. These people suck. Keep up the good work. I love your videos!

I personally think your EXACTLY RIGHT!!! Instead of them going out every day and holding a sign, go and apply for a job. Shit, Burger King, McDonald's, etc... I've seen it myself. As a military spouse, we travel A LOT, so yes, they are everywhere. My husband and father both said, when you gotta do what you gotta do to get a JOB, DO IT. Even if it's shoveling horse crap, do odd jobs, DO IT! Honest days work.

Boondocking is when you are camping in RV without hookups, some call it offgrid, out on land Boondocking, Off the grid, Off the cord, Dispersed Camping, Dry Camping or Wild Camping are all names for camping or RV'ing without any hook ups (water, electric or sewer). ... For us Wild Camping is our hands down favorite way to live and the ultimate reason to own an RV.Oct 28, 2015

Panhandling is considered a form of protest and part of our right to free speech. Just like in what's considered a normal protests, more then one person can be lined up waiting for money. It's just up to the driver if he or she is will to give a donation. And a real homeless person would take a dirty pair of sock with a smile. Keep this in mind next time you donate, you can also donate food clothes water, a real homeless person will take theses items without question.

I live in Indiana, about 30 miles south of Indianapolis. My husband ( now deceased) was sick for a long time & had to go to doctors & to I.U hospital there. We had our son take us to appointments, there was panhandlers EVERYWHERE. At first I wanted to give a dollar or 2, but my son said ' no, mom, they probably have more money than you do'.. Could of been true because at that time we were living in very little. Our son was helping US.. But it just hurt to think that people are in need of food or a home. We at least had a home & food. My husband died 2 yrs ago. Things are better, financially anyway, but I still hate to think of of homeless people especially w/ kids being out there.

Last time I gave a panhandler anything was 20 years ago when this guy said he needed money for bread for his family. I said no. Felt guilty and bought him a loaf a bread. When I saw him outside I gave it to him and he said, "What the f*** am i supposed to do with this?! I want money dammit!" It"s not too difficult to guess what I told him he can do with it. Personally I don't care if people panhandle. I watch your videos because its entertaining when you shed light on the fact that most of them are full of s**t. But as far as boon docking goes, its just a term for people who park someone overnight to sleep, has nothing to do with panhandling.

*ok i've stood up for you for the last few videos because you were right with what you're saying because i've agreed with you and we see the panhandlers and Freeloading frequently HOWEVER. "Boon Docking" is not what you're representing it as Boondocking is free camping in a legitimate camper or RV of some sort.just not actually parking in an actual camp site, usually they find wilderness trails or roads that people aren't all elbow to elbow on. I grew up camping that way and my family never begged a penny from anyone EVER. What you're describing is still freeloading or pan handling not in fact "boon docking" if people took the way you were describing it as a bunch of people begging for money to camp and travel for free then even the ones who ACTUALLY boon dock it and never ask for anything from anyone get a bad name too and that's not fair. Also In TN we don't have to have tags on our trailers unless they are being used for commercial use normally. most who own travel trailers still do because it's an insurable vehicle and the insurance companies require a tag to insure them. not at all saying what this particular guy was doing is legit or right because he is still out there trying to play on people's sympathies and still just as wrong as the people who just stand there with the cardboard signs all day Scamming people. but yeah most people that are that down on their luck don't usually have portable homes to go back and hook up to or vehicles that are that nice either so right away the suspicions are up. i get that and yeah Tennessee or not he's a beggin ass scamer. unfortunately they see them getting away with that shit here and decide that's a good idea then go get some poster board or cardboard and start practicing their craft. There are 2 truck stops here not 5 miles from my house at the KY / TN border (exit 2 in Franklin KY to be exact ) that the pan handlers hit up regularly. in fact there is a woman at the one my wife frequents after work and the woman has been arrested numerous times at this truck stop for trespass and panhandling. vagrancy or whatever but she just waits a day or so and she's right back at it again. my wife takes great pleasure in pointing her out to people and calling her out on her bullshit because she's out there a lot and lives here and is still doing it. she's not "stuck here" doesn't need money "to get back home" she's fucking home, she just doesn't want to work for her money like everyone else has to. ALSO you need to learn this phrase, "in PUBLIC there is no reasonable expectation of privacy". meaning as long as you aren't filming in someone's window of their house or over their privacy fence and as long as it can be seen by just anyone it's legal to film* i personally try to avoid filming kids specially close up because most of them have no choice but to be where they are everyone else though that's an adult is fair game in public even the cops, lawyers, and other Public officials*

When people ARE truly trying, day to day, working, and they still can't quite make it, there are programs for that. It will require mounds of paperwork to fill out, verifying you to your hilt, but there's help that can be gotten. Of course, there's this pesky rule that you must NOT be illegal drug and alcohol addicted to get approved in most cases. Then there's these kinds. Those who think we somehow all work for them. I used to give, give, give until I offered a panhandler food. He didn't want that, he wanted cash. That about did it for me. These folk take free loading to another level. They call out other groups of people as lazy, when all the time, they're lazy! In America, you must WORK if you're not born rich or win a huge lottery! Truly disabled folk are denied benefits they've actually worked hard for, while scammers get paid! It takes discipline to show up for and work a job each day, for your pay and these folk just think they're too good for that and all the rest of us are fools.

I had a new type of scam happen. A guy just waiting in a theater parking lot, which his baby, in a shopping cart. I saw him talking to other people when I got out and walked to my vehicle, but didn't think anything of it till he approached me. He needed money he said, and as proof this was all legit, he had printed out a gofundme page for his cause. UNBELIEVABLE! Another guy in a Walmart. not just the parking lot. Inside the Walmart, tellin me he had a stroke, and could I help him out. He looked fine to me. Another guy in a Walmart showed me a photo of someone he claimed was his aunt, in a hospital bed wanting money. This crap is off the hook!

Hi Jason how are you doing,,,,,,,, you are so right about these people,. Woman killed while helping panhandler was known for kindness By DAVID McFADDEN | Associated Press FacebookTwitterFlipboardPrintEmail BALTIMORE - Relatives of a Maryland woman who was knifed to death in front of her family while trying to help a panhandler said Monday that she died the way she lived: looking out for others and trying to be kind. Authorities say Jacquelyn Smith, an electrical engineer from Maryland's Harford County, lowered her car's front passenger side window in Baltimore early Saturday to give money to a young woman who appeared to be holding a swaddled infant and carried a cardboard sign reading: "Please help me feed my baby." Authorities say a man approached the car with the woman for the cash handoff. After a struggle over Smith's wallet, he stabbed Smith and fled on foot with the panhandler. Smith's grieving 19-year-old son, college sophomore David Hood, described his mother as a strong-willed woman who always taught her children about the importance of generosity and family. He told The Associated Press that she was in the car with her stepdaughter and her husband when she was fatally stabbed in the torso. Her husband, Keith, was behind the wheel at the time.

I think there should be some sort of quality test for these pan handlers. I have been floating around an idea for a while and I think it should be implemented. Is is pretty simple the store manager goes to the pan handler with a stop watch and a taser. The manager tazes the pan handler and uses the stop watch and if the pan handler can get up with in 5 seconds he/she can stay. If the pan handler can not he/she must leave the property immediately.

Good Work Jason! I have stopped giving panhandlers money also. While I do feel sad/sorry for the folks who are truly desperate the ones who are not ruin it for those who do. When I was working I worked nights so I was awake on my nights off. Look here on YT and see a few videos, especially "The gas station hustle". A few folks mention they can make $40-50 an hour. Just park your ride at the pump and ask everyone for money to get home; you appear legitimate. One young man with a cane is on the other side of the pumps asking for money and wants to show me his empty gas gauge, how do I know it's not broken? And, what's in his hand he's trying to conceal? A lottery ticket! Sorry bud, I ain't got no money. Another night guy has a Honda Civic and needs gas to get a few towns away. He appears sincere so I told him to pull up to the pump and I will give $5 on my credit card for him. He gets the gas and while I'm chatting with the clerk he comes in and asks if I can buy him a bag of pretzels for a snack? Now I was pissed and said, "Hell No and GTFO!" But, I'm hungry! A week later at the same C store a young pretty girl asks me for $5 for gas for her truck to get to the next town. She appears too cute to be out alone at 2 am. I tell her to pull up to the pump and I will put $5 on my debit card. As I left the store I wondered why it seemed to take her so long to put $5 worth of gas in her truck. A few nights later I'm at the store and talking to the clerk and he says, "Do you remember the other night when you put $5 of gas in that girl's truck?" Yes. "She came back in after you left and demanded the $5 in cash so I had to give it to her." What? "You already spent it and I couldn't keep it." Meth, heroin and of course alcohol is a BIG PROBLEM around here and probably everywhere. I hate to say it but half the people age 35 or less don't want to work, especially if it's minimum wage, a drug problem, or the have a record. I do realize I live in a lower income area with a lot of poor people because I'm poor myself and disabled. I always worked and had many low wage jobs so I can survive on my measly check from SSDI and I still have to cut corners, watch my pennies and scrimp to save. My '04 Neon started falling apart at 232K miles although I took care of it so I sold it for $800, 7 months ago and with my good credit I bought a nice used '13 Prius. It was the best I can afford. Apparently some of my neighbors who are younger think I'm rich now. They actually have the balls to knock on the door and ask me for money, for gas. I told them I have less money than ever before because now I have car payments, and I do. They are age 35 or less and I never see them working, and it's obvious every 2-3 weeks their dealing dope because for a day or so another car shows up every 10 minutes and stays for 5 minutes. One of those people ran out of gas across the street and knocked on my door. I gave them $2.13 cents in change and said, "Sorry but that's all I got!" That car was there for another 8-9 hours! Ha ha; I don't know how much dope you can get for $5 but apparently $5 gets someone enough dope to keep going. I went to Mc Donalds drive thru and a guy asked for money for food as he stood behind the speaker. "Would you like for me to order you a cheeseburger?" No! I want to eat Chinese over there! "OK, well I suggest you go over there and ask for money for food because your obviously not very hungry." He got so angry I thought he was going to kick my door. I'm sick of panhandlers and people asking me for money. They could get jobs but it's obvious to me they make more just asking others for it and I don't know who is legitimately in need anymore so my generosity has dried up.

Perhaps these kind of people are 2nd or maybe 3rd generation of our Welfare Systems. I remember when we had a large migration of persons re locating to California due to their better Welfare Benefits. Now it has grown in numbers and every state has people holding signs for food and money. They start by getting funds for going to college or some program and when those benefits run out they go to holding their signs. Now we have social media that gives them the tools to further their scams. I think our government's welfare programs have caused many of them to loose their self pride. It is now a national problem that really needs to be addressed more.

I don't condone the panhandling, etc. But I am working toward a debt free life. I will live in a RV full time and still keep my full time job. It is a movement to get away from greedy banks, mortgages, crowded neighborhoods, and societal pressures. It is upsetting that this is happening in your town because it makes the RV lifestyle look bad. If I want to boon dock on solar and my generator on free land then I will. However, I will not be begging for gas.

This is so true! I shared a cab with a guy and all he kept talking about when he gets to his hotel he was going to get his signs and go to work. I was new in town at the time so I asked if he was hiring. Well he started laughing and explained how he stands out basically begging. Now I have cancer and I didn't see anything mentally or physically wrong with him Smh! I couldn't believe it!

When I was 11 years old, I had a brain tumor and had to have 3 brain surgeries and 33 radiation treatments. Now, on my way every morning to those treatments, there was a "homeless' man who held up a sign like that and people would stop and give him money, we never would, someone once offered to give him something to eat from a restaurant and he told them he'd rather have the money. Long story short, The last radiation treatment I had, the day of, when we were leaving the hospital we seen SAID HOMELESS MAN getting into a BRAND NEW 2003 Porsche. He wasn't poor, he was a lazy rich person who must've hit hard times or something. I can't stand people doing this.

I seen a story some time back where a guy was panhandling at the end of an exit ramp. Someone video taped him walking away and getting into a new car and driving away.. These people do this everyday all day.

Jason, I'm getting the impression that you think that anyone with an RV that stays overnight in a Walmart parking lot is a lowlife freeloader. Sometimes when RVers are on their way to some place it's hard to find a campground or other place to park, especially in the middle of the night. Are you aware that some Walmarts all across the country are kind enough to allow RVers to park in their parking lots over night while they are traveling? Technically, as long as they only park for one night & don't actually set up camp. And, they appreciate it if you do some shopping in the store to show your appreciation. There are full time RVers & snowbirds. They're not all lowlifes. This is what my husband & I had to do once when we traveled across the southwest to visit family. We had plenty of money for our trip & would never dream of asking anyone to support us. Please don't demonize all travelers who have to dry dock once in a while into the same category.

After a week of claiming to be stranded a couple staked out a well trafficked median and flew their sign, the local Elks lodge gave them a gas voucher. The were there again after two days of camping behind a junior high. My friend and I decided to set them up. As soon as they arrived mid morning, I approached them while my friend watched out of sight. I asked them if they'd welcome work, they both claimed nerve damage. So I offered them a deal. Hold a sign for me, and I'll pay you 5 now, and another 5 after I return in 2 hours, I emphasized that I needed it held from then to I came back, told them one of you can hold it, while the other holds their sign. They beamed with anticipation. I wrote "By This Sign!" on a box flap, gave it to them, and walked away, with my friend watching from out of sight. As soon as I was out of line if sight, they both took off toward the liqueur store, came out with the bottles in bag, went to the back of the store, and stayed for roughly an hour, came back, took out their sign, she sat on the sidewalk he hit the median. Neither with my sign. Around 10 till the hour I walked toward them, she sprung up, and "slyly" passed the sign out to him. I came up, waved him over. " Did you keep the deal?" He replied, "Yea, we likely missed out on our normal donations." Looking expectantly at me. "You been here the whole time?" He started to speak, she spat out, "He's wasting our time, he punkin us, I told you!" "Well if you were here like you said you.." " Are you a mental, or sicko, you looking for a hooker?! I ain't like that." Looks at her cuck Boi, " this tow has fuck hungry fuckers!" I open my wallet, "No one bought the sign?" They act like I'm not there. " I'm confused, if you were here then you wouldn't still have the sign. I sent a friend's dad to buy it off you for $20.00. Guess he didn't see you maybe. Anyway here's what your lame hustle gets ya." threw the crumpled $5.00 down as I walked away.

At my old job, we could watch groups of them from our windows while sitting at our desks. One group actually made the news. They were very honest that they did this every year and hit northern states during the summer. I can’t believe how many panhandlers we have now on the weekends during the summer. They stand or sit 100 feet from each other, that’s even when groups of people are taking turns!!

Lots here in Tidewater, Va. I keep seeing the same people month after month in the same or other locations. It almost seems like some of the more "successful" ones move up to a more prime corner/location. If you are lazy and have no pride I guess it must be a good gig. I just couldn't bring myself to begging, or acting like I am. Almost all of them are clearly able bodied and capable of obtaining legitimate employment. Unfortunately when they get sick or injured and get carted off to the local hospital we all get to chip in to pay their bill, and when they recover they're back on the streets. I believe that we should all help our elderly, and handicapped because they are truly the ones that are most likely to need help. I'm 66 and have worked hard all my life, and still working until 69 when I will semi retire and work on MY schedule. I love my Country, but I hate what some are doing to tear it down.

In the eighties, people would run up to your car and start cleaning the windows without asking, in LA. They would always smear the windows so bad that I wouldn't be able to see. Do they still do that? Another thing, do weirdos approach you at gas stations and try to start pumping your gas for money? That, and scaling people at gas station s with false stories is still you g on in Vegas, and what's left of Cali.

Hmmm... we got them here too. It's a business now. A bunch of us GI's headed for Vietnam got hit while waiting at the airport in Seattle. Johnny had to get back home because his wife was in an accident. I bet he made a thousand a week playing on our sympathy for johnny and him getting back home. I know I gave $10. I didn't know any better.
