So I've tried to pay it forward but been scammed for my trouble so many times I just don't do it any more. I've tried buying food for the supposed hungry and been told to f@@k off (good food too not rubbish or junk food and sweets). They want cash for drugs or alcohol . If they were genuine I'd happily help them (I know what it's like to have nowhere ) but there are too many scammers.

Robert McLennan I agree with you. In my job, you'd be shocked at how many veterans and elderly have to choose between food and medication each month. There are a couple of regulars that panhandle for their parents and grandparents all the time where I live. There is also a guy that does it to support his drug habit. People around here seem to figure it out okay. If I had the money, I'd follow this old joker around and tell everyone how he's unemployed and stalks and records people all day. Not one word of that is a lie. Every word is fact. Words are powerful, and can be the deciding factor on one's perspective. From my perspective, it's the gentleman like Jason, that bitch and complain about panhandlers, then will drive across town to pay a prostitute.
