Welcome to my very first video for this channel. Thought I should introduce myself and give you a very quick walkaround of my Adventurer 89RB. Probably the best way to start. Do you travel full time? Are you planning on starting? Let me know if you have any questions or need more info on how I live with my partner in this tiny space lol

We've started with a classC, then we went to a classA but we were really limited with them. We rented a classB for a summer but yet, we still weren't happy. We now have a Arctic Fox 865, truck camper, we love it, it's perfect for us.

We were completely new to Rving before we bought the Winnebago Travato. When we sold that, we went on to buy a Jeep and AirBnB’ed for a while but missed the convenience of having your home with you. Decided to go with a truck camper this time mainly for the clearance and 4X4 the truck brings. I wasn’t expecting that I would have more living space in the camper too though. Very happy with our choice. What made you choose the Arctic Fox over other campers?

@@RoamingNikki Probably the biggest reason was, the fact of how well they're built, almost over built. It also has a lot more interior head clearance, it has a vaulted ceiling. I'm 6' 2" and have more than enough had clearance. Also, I'm really big on having separate spaces. This model, the kitchen is in the back, the restroom is in the middle and of course there is the cab-over restroom. We love the separation of spaces, and even though it doesn't have any slides, it feels massive inside. We bought it new February 2022, we just love it. Custom order it with no skylight, 12 volt AC, we delete the two back windows, deleted the lower window in the rear door and also deleted the pass-through window. We love winter camping, hunting, ice fishing and snowmobiling. So we made those changes, helping with the insulation of our camper. We've also upgraded our batteries, decided to go with lithium. We added solar panels, and a few more smaller mods. Our rig is a 2022 F550, XLT lariat. Running liquid suspension , added the extra large fuel tank, front bumper mounted 3000w generator and a hellwig anti-sway bar. In two weeks we are having a aluminum flatbed installed and aluminum storage boxes, it's been back-ordered for almost six months now. Hoping that'll complete our rig, we love boondocking, not fans of camp grounds. Lastly the price was awesome, compared to other models, their build quality isn't even close to as good as our Arctic fox. Anyway, that's why we made our choice. Personally we believe you made an awesome choice, it's a beautiful rig you have. Best wishes to you and we look forward to your next video upload.

I hated that thermostat in mine and changed it out for digital. Much better and it's an easy upgrade.

Yeah might do that myself next time it’s in with the service guys. Luckily I try to follow the warm weather, so I don’t have to use it too often.

Thanks for the comments. Is your truck gas or Diesel? We have heard the diesel is better on the mileage.

Aaaah your canadians! BC i see lol. Just stumbled upon u now. Looks like your heading east this year based on your vids. Im gonna do that next year. Lol im heading to your island any day now, live in calgary. I bought my truck camper last year, i went to the dealer to look at adventurer n literally stumbled upon a northern lite nobody knew was there except the sales mgr. Funny because i’m sure it would have been gone before me, i walked in it n stood dumb-founded, shocked myself, i really like it a lot, bought it on the spot. ….Now time to go through your vids. 🍻 Edit: oh wait your in van area now? Lol im bouncing around your vids lol.

Hi!! Lol Yep Canadian but originally from the UK as you could probably tell from the accent 😀 We did do a looping tour of Alberta and Saskatchewan but are back in BC now. We did the same thing as you. Saw the camper we have and it was the first one on the sales lot we looked at and we said we would take it. We didn’t even have a truck for it yet lol. I have heard great things about the Northern lites. Really good quality. Have you found that?

Is the truck a dually or standard?
@RoamingNikki

It’s just a standard truck. The camper is pretty light because it doesn’t have the aircon.
