We may be a more niche audience than your typical popular genres, but I'm sure we're all delighted that someone finally made the sort of game we all love. I wouldn't mind another action game, perhaps more in the style of the much loved _Ninja Gaiden_ games, last console generation. You guys have absolutely nailed the balance of speed, melee, and projectile combat in action games. Please don't let this be your only entry in the genre! Thanks again for the memories! I look forward to whatever you create next. :)

why in the world arent you guys more popular. even after owning and actually buying furi on ps4 instead of getting it free on july i still give it a solid weekly play because i love it so much even if its been 8 months and i finished the main story

Will go down as one of my favorite games of all time. Especially after beating Furier mode and finding out barely over 1% of the playerbase got that achievement.

What? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!?!?!

Great video! There was a few tricks that I had no idea about even after logging in around 70 hours so far. Just two things to note. First being that at 1:34 (during *The Hand* second pillar phase) you can parry back that line of attack that comes from the side to deal some sweet extra damage. You just have to be standing still when they start moving in towards you, fairly tricky. Second is during *The Star* fight, the way to maximize damage is to barely start charging the beam and shoot it in quick succession. The burst damage from you first start shooting a charge shot is the most powerful during the whole shot so you basically just spam that. Hope this doesn't sound like nitpicking, it really is a great vid! Just thought i'd share whatever I know ;)

This video is so cool. Furi is one of my favorite games in recent memory. I can't wait for The Game Bakers to release their next game.

Vous avez fait un travail formidable sur ce jeu les gars, un gameplay limpide et diablement efficace soutenu par un design et une bande son du tonnerre, il s'agit pour moi de la révélation 2016. Et surtout, on s'y amuse très vite et très bien, comprendre par là que quand on rarement 2 heures devant soi pour faire une partie, 45 min de Furi suffisent à atteindre son quota d'éclate vidéoludique quotidienne. Que du bonheur bordel à queue!

Tip: Charge slash at the Song/the Chain just when they start to release regular (orange) bullets, it will interrupt their attack

Quite a few of these are fairly obvious, but definitely some excellent tips here I had no idea about. Great to see this kind of video! The recording is a bit cut off at the top, and it kind of matters for the Line tip since it's hard to read the timer. That tip also made me realize the walls are so much stronger in Furi mode than Furier. I've been playing a lot of Furier and thought for sure I'd gotten them in under 40 seconds with normal bullets. I always parried The Scale's cluster bullets (it's so satisfying), but I had no idea you could even do it at the very last phase. That's incredibly useful, I'll be sure to try that out. The Burst tip about locating her using parries is really clever, too. I never would've realized that one on my own. The Edge tips are all amazing. I had no idea you could do any of that, to be honest. I'm assuming you switch over to using Y for charged slashes and B for parries when you want to parry during a charge? I always use X for slashing, so I didn't even understand what kind of spider hands you'd need to parry at the same time. The safe spots during The Star were very interesting. I actually found a safe spot of my own that isn't included in the video. At the first part of the last phase you can simply walk as far down in the center as you can, and all the bullets she shoots, along with the ones going side to side will miss you. Even when she starts firing the homing purple bullets you can just stay there and fire at them to get them before they reach you. No need to move at all.

Aaah, thanks for the tips! A tip for the last phase of the Song, the Birst and the Stat would have made this perfect, but thanks anyway!

I had NO idea you can parry the indestructible bullets

wow, didn't know most of these.

While playing on practice mode, i found a useful mechanic - bosses may be stunned with a charge slash while they're saying some of their replics (like when Scale laughs) or when they're putting force to their attacks (exapmle: when Strap charges and shots her huge beam she is easy to be knocked with a charge slash in back) I have some examples of using this mechanic in boss fights - Chain (1st boss) - When he shots a lot of bullets at you, he didn't expects that you'll do a charge slash. Also, when he swings with his rod in melee fight he's unable to block a slash from behind. Strap (2nd boss) - Her beam attacks require her to stand at one place, so she's very vulnerable during this attack Line (3rd boss) - As i remember, in melee fight he makes a cool looking attack when he throws his sword in air. That's an easy chance to stun him with a charge slash. Scale (4th boss) - When he laughs or complains at you in melee combat he's not concentrated enough to dodge your charge slash, so he can be easily stunned. Also, in one of his phases (2nd or 3rd) he makes a shockwave and usual wave attack after which he stays in place for some time. At this moment he's not concentrated so you can swiftly dodge both wave attacks and stun him with a charge slash. Hand (5th boss) - There's a moment in the fight when he sticks his sword into the ground to say a replic. That looks nice but makes him very easy to stun with a charge slash. Also, in a melee fight he has the same weakness as the Chain - he's unable to block a slash from behind when making a huge slash in front of himself. I'll add more of such advises if i'll found them on any further boss fights. I hope my comment will help some people in this game or at least make their fights much more pleasurable.

charged burst is a good way to end the final phase of the hand instead of strafing. charge one up and shoot him before he can beam you. itll cancel his attack and he'll melee you. only need to do it like twice for him to go down i think, at least on furi.

holy shit O.o i played this game many hours and need a lot of training for the single bosses but holy shit... i still dosnt knewed that you can parry closely every sort of projectile x.x with this new tricks i think i can run this game so much easyer :D thanks

One funny thing I found is that The Hand can be taken down easily(not quickly) by just pressuring him with melee attacks during the first few phases. If you keep attacking, he'll parry yours and counter attack. Just parry that one and you can get a free hit on him. It's pretty easy pretty far into the fight

also on stage 4 of the star,if you stand point blank next to the hands and charge laser them,it kills them in about half a second,making the stage take about 4 seconds

Seriously game world. We either need a sequel, or another game that follows this style. Because seriously, I've never played a game like this, and damn it, I like it. A lot.

it may be silly, but I feel really proud that I guess some things on my own. Good to know about parrying The Scale though. Great game btw. never thought that I would sit for 6 hours trying to get Untouchable achievment, just because I wanted.

Fun Fact: During the Final Phase for the Hand, if you fire barely charged shots at him while he charges up his laser, he'll block the shots and won't shoot the laser. You can skip the lasers entirely by repeating till he goes in for melee.

I knew you can parry some bullets, but never though you can parry the larger ones nor the green ones from the Scale.

I also find that when you charge shot the hand it interrupts his beam pattern and he comes in to melee range

Actually I think it is possible to parry the songs dive without counterattacking. But it is probably harder to do. only happened once to me.

Parrying 'The Song' when she does her dive attack does NOT always stun her, you will be healed like a normal parry, but her attack wont stop

I love the game, I love the music, and I love the different level designs. But the only thing I hate, the one thing I loath, despite hours of practice. Is The Burst's final phase. If you guys ever do another game like Furi, try to avoid, adding a phase like that, in the fight. It just feels cheap, like getting close to the finish line, but tripping in a pot hole, that you couldn't have seen coming.

One thing I want to add is to never capitalize on stunned targets with your basic attack. Shoot them instead. Attacking them takes away time as they will be invincible for short period after the animation ends. But otherwise, these are all great tip o/
