OMG I HAVE LIKE THE BEST STORY EVEERRRR so there was this little kid sobbing on the floor in a princess Halloween costume. I was wearing my fursuit and my friend was padding beside me. She began to walk towards the girl, who I at first didn’t notice, because I was in my fursuit. I immediately yanked off the head, and asked her if she was alright. She sniffles and shook her head, no. She was lost! I was fursuiting at my old elementary school, so I knew how I could bring her to the office to help her find her parent, but she refused to get up. Well, that was a problem. I don’t know why but I put on my head. Her eyes lit up, and she bounced to her feet. I put out a paw. She grabbed my paw, and I walked with her a few steps. I took of my head, and she stopped. Put it back on, she pleaded, and I did. She kept going, and then we brought her to the office, where her parents were waiting. I guess fursuits really are magical.

I had a very good experience at a con, Megaplex2019, where i was in full suit as my otter and a little girl behind me who was about 5-7 years old kept saying to her parents "can i get a picture with him?". I heard them and didn't engage until the parents told her "it's not our call, you ask him." Which of course i heard and turned my head and squeaked a little, we then took some pictures and made both our days brighter.

For Halloween me and my friends went trick or treating to see disabled people to cheer them up. I was wearing my parical Dino mask suit and my friend was the little red riding Hood. So we went to this one girls house who was deaf and partially blind, they told me she liked the feeling of different textures so I let her feel my mask (my friends mom works with these people so it was ok to go inside and say hi) anyways she started to feel the claws, tail, and flowers on the mask and it was really adorable. When she felt the teeth on my mask I started to nibble on her finger gently as a joke since I can move the jaw easily, her smile just made my heart melt. Your story about the girl just reminded me of mine and I thought I would share🤗

I had this one time where I went fursuiting near the beach, and there were these 2 kids and ( probably a Karen ) who was their mum, so I was just walking around with my handler and stuff and the mum and kids came up to me and asked for a hug and a photo, seeing as the kids were about 6-7 and had their whole hands covered in Cheeto dust, my handler and I said no. Then the mum started throwing a legit tantrum, we agreed on making the kids wash their hands, and when the kids were sitting on my lap for a photo, one of them was literally aggressively pulling on my giant ears and ended up ripping one off, my 2000$ fursuit head just wasted. That's now why I hate children

I was fursuiting at a con and this kid that looked 6 or 8 ran towards me and tried to grip my tail and pull on it. *and I kinda threw myself across the con...*

Once I was suiting and a little girl came up to me and hugged my leg and said "Kitty!!!" My heart MELTED.

When I was trick or treating a kid pulled my tail and the seam to the belt loop snapped ✌😔💀

BTW, I am a furry (I don't currently own a fursuit), but I think people need to see the good side of the fandom to really appreciate and accept the furries. This is my 5th day of being a furry, and I'm loving it! A big fan from New Zealand! :D

That last story made me tear up a little. I understand the scared/boredness of being a little kid in a hospital so the fact that you were able to cheer her up makes me so happy.

My worst fursuiting experience was when I still went to my old school. Everyone at my old school was cool about it and nobody cared that I would fursuit at events but little kids loved it. It was near the end of the year, all my friends were there and I made a new friend who drove home to get her suit, but anyway, I was running around and playing with the young’uns, when all of a sudden my emotional support stuffed animal I have so I don’t get anxiety attacks is takes from my hands and some kid ran across the FIELD with it. I knew it was my friend’s older brother, and his older brother is a terrible person, and he knew that I needed that stuffed animal. My friend got it back and punched his brother in the stomach and it was better. Moral of the story: Even when you are a child yourself, children are devils.

Great video but it was a bit difficult to hear what you were saying in the second half of the video because of the loud music. Also, because of that I recognized the music because I use the same type of music (from NoCopyrightSounds), and noticed that you haven't credit them in the description, please hurry and do that because it's a part of their Usage Policy when you use music that are on their channel

Glad I’ve only had good experiences while fursuiting with kids. One time I was fursuiting on Halloween and I gave a little girl a high five. Her whole face lit up:) I love making people happy with my suit.

another story I have at the same con, a little todoroki cosplayer came up to me saying she was waiting for her mom. she was probably about 10/11 and seemed pretty anxious, as she said some of the masked cosplayers were freaking her out a bit but she didn't mind my head because it was cute. I'm glad she felt comfortable enough to come chill w me while she waited and calmed down a bit, unfortunately I can't remember if we took a picture or not :,)

When I performed in my Timon suit at a trunk or treat I had kids chasing me and bothering me trying to yank the tail I've tried escaping from them. Luckily I hid behind someone who ended up getting the kids away from me so I could safely escape. Luckily when I was a mascot performer at my old work I always had a handler who always made sure that I was okay and acted like a protector whenever kids got out of hand. Although when I was in my Timon suit at the trunk or treat my handler ditched me and was nowhere to be found my mother's friend had to take over as my handler.

I’m still a child and kids near my fursuit still scare the hell out of me

The part where u talked about letting the girl try on the suit, that actaully happened to me, I was 10 at the time and I was in a Christmas parade, after 1 hour of walking we got to the end, my mom knows what fursuits are and she knows Ive wanted one, she took me up to the girl that had the suit bc I wanted to ask about the species, after 10 minutes of talking, she asks " do u wanna try on the head? " And of course I said yes plz, and she put the tail on me, I also tried the paws literally the best day of my life, I'm now 11 and hv a fursuit, working on my second :P

My friend has a fur suit and a kid ripped her nose off! (The costume’s nose, not her attached nose.) She was a wolf, so they also got some teeth. She was pretty upset. Also, don’t insult people who fur suit, if they feel comfortable that way, then why be mean? They are normal humans, with different hobbies/lifestyles

This happened to me when i got a tail at a con, a little girl with their parents where sitting behind me because we where watching anime. and i suddenly feel this tug on my tail. i look behind me and give a little stare and go back to watching the anime, then it happens again and i look at the parents and the parents actually tell their kids off, i was just glad that the parents where not those types of parents that thing their child is a "little angel and must have everything". and btw my tail was on by one of those pins because the maker made it like that

I actually have 2 experiences with public suiting, so i thought i would share them as well: 1.- This is probably the most interesting, since it actually has something bad(??) in it. I was out in a little park with my cousin, and i decided to wear my dino mask, Ashley. Now i was a bit worried but excited because i love seeing how people react to a person wearing a customised velociraptor mask. (My fursuit head isnt finished so i use my mask in the meantime) Me and my cousin sat at a bench, simply chilling. Then i think like 4-5 boys came to the park. I was kinda nervous but i tried to ignore it. Then, what do you know, the boys notice me and walk up to me and my cousin (mainly near me though) and say "Look a dinosaur!". Ashley isnt a silent character so i just laughed a little and said "Hi!". They were all getting quite close to me, i would say they were around 6-9 of age (there was an innocent 4-5 year old there though). They started kinda touching my mask or knocking it a little, wondering how it works. I simply shooed away their hands politley. They asked me to open my mouth and asked me stuff like "How do you see??" You know, just curious kids. Or so i thought. They started asking me to take off the mask, making me uncomfortable, so i kindly said that i didnt want to. They tried taking it off me so i gently slapped their had away. Then this one kid, i think the second oldest, has the audacity to KNOCK/THROW my mask off, dropping it to a kinda hard ground. Luckily, Ash was safe and not damaged. I told them not to do that because that is extremly rude and can damage the mask, but they completley ignored it and said "You look weird". I just gave them the glare that reads "Seriously?" and stuff. I put my mask back on. They ran off and left us alone for a while. My cousin said she had to go get something from the house (She lives close to the park) so i said i would wait for her. While waiting, one of the kids starts walking slowly around the bench i was sitting on in a sort of challenging/ intimidating(??) way, kinda how characters walk looking to eachother before a battle or something. He then said to me "Youre an embarrasment". Now i was nervous this would happen before coming, but suddenly my confidence went up to the roof and calmly and clearly, I said "Yeah, so what? Its fun". The boy just walked away and never really came back to annoy me again. 2.- This is more of a wholesome story, just noting fun stuff that happened. Near my house there is a park where people like to go to to chill or do exercise or have picnics, you know the stuff. I was wearing Ashley again. I was walking around with m family, and i looked around and saw many people were there,manly because of this sort of eco-friendly celebration thing going on. First, a small group of teenage girl game up to me. I was very nervous because since i live in Mexico and furries are kinda like a meme tat was made AGAINST furries so...*^* But they were super nice and asked for a photo, so i of course said yes! I also walked by a little 3 year old with his mom and said "Dinosaur!" so i simply waved at him and opened my mouth. he seemed to enjoy me opening my mouth so i simpl kept playing with him a little and left. I alsosaw someone esle with a raptor mask, though they seemed to be older that me like 14-15. I didnt talk to them, but it was still a cool thing to see!

I was wearing a bunny commissioned suit that wasn’t shipped yet. It had floppy ears. I brought it to my play ground and a kid would smack and pull on the ears. Mind you I had no handler and was just with another fursuiter. We had to walk the other way and take off our suits.

I went out public suiting and this kid (about 7th grade) started harassing me and pulling on the fur of my suit. My handler stepped in front of me and told him to stop. He didn’t. So I took off the head and glared at him with the most angry face I could manage. He left for the rest of the day :)

I went trick or treating in my fursuit head, I saw a baby and I acted like I was confused, the mom laughed, but nothing bad happned

I've had a bad expirience with young kids while fursuiting. I was is a furmeet with my friends, we were walking around and having fun. Then one of my friends decided to go to the near playground that was full of children. I didn't want to go, because I was scared they would do something bad, as usually little brats do (they really looked like annoying children). But my friend incisted me to go with them. We went to say hi to the children, they were excited, they were asking questions, petting, touching, and some of them got pretty close (I didn't like it at all. We were silent fursuiters, so we couldn't answer their questions. The kids got frustraded cause we didn't answer, they started shouting "Speak! Is it so hard to speak?". I started to back up, but the children ran up to me and my friends and started *punching*, *kicking*, and *scratching*! We tried to run away, my friends got out of the playground, but I couldn't. Someone pulled my tail, but thankfully it didn't rip out. I took off my head, and ran away. My friends took their heads too. We hid behind a building. One of my friends got a wound of the kicking and scratching, but thankfully our fursuits didn't break. I have a trauma of this and I never fursuit outside these days. I only suit in cons. That story is real, tho it may sound fake, it is real and was scary for me.

Kind of ironically, I just got a new Fursuit tail on Sunday at my local furry convention which was also my first ever con for 55 USD from a company called Patchwork Suits as they were selling a whole bunch of big bouncy high quality tails at their booth in the Dealers Den! Note: The tail is obviously big, fluffy, and bouncy like most Fursuit tails but is mostly red with a white tip! It is actually only the 2nd tail I have ever owned, my first one is not furry fandom made at all and I got it from a Halloween event called Terror Town about 2 months ago here in Ohio, it's a many value white, black, and grey small fox tail(if they had a wolf tail I would have gotten it instead but the fox tail I chose was as close as I could get to a synthetic grey wolf tail there) which I wore every second I spent at FurReality even after getting my new tail(as I can't even clip or unclip the fox tail myself at all)! The thing with my new tail as I not only need some sort of brush that will work great with it without taking too much fur off and I'm thinking about maybe wearing it to family gatherings but, there are a lot of little kids in my family and two, I am unsure how well the hook used to attach the tail will work although it should be just fine, it hung up the tail on a rack after all for several days! Back to FurReality, it was the best experience of my life and actually changed my life, I want to dedicate myself to the fandom even more now(side note: I joined the fandom this Valentines Day and it is now my number one interest even beating out art in general and Heavy Metal music)! I forgot to mention, my two tails are the only Fursuit parts I have

Recommendation,if your worried about little kids pulling off your tail or damaging it, then avoid going to a park or play ground where their going to be.

Stories like the last one make me so happy. I love seeing our community do such amazing and kind things, it’s one of the reasons why I’m happy to be in this community. You’re amazing, I’m sure you made that dark time in the kid’s life a whole lot brighter. : )

Kids can be either wonderful, or terrifying. On one hand, I had a group of 3 kids from 5-7-ish at a furmeet hitting me, pulling my tail, and trying to shove me into the foam cube pit, and all of the other suiters and my parents were /juuust/ out of view. But on the other hand, I was at an art festival and got to play with this adorable little boy who would run away and laugh, and then I’d jump out and ‘catch’ him (no actual touching), and then the big scary dragon and him would growl back and forth at each other for a minute or two before my boyfriend and I would move on. We ran into him and his sister quite a few times, since the festival was rather small and his family was running a booth selling paintings, so it was very sweet! I’ve had plenty of other cute interactions with kids at comic-cons and such, but I think that one was the most memorable!

I've had a lot of bad experiences with kids, poking my VERY fragile eye mesh, almost ripping the bottom jaw off, ripping seams, trying to rip the head off, tail yanking, etc. but I'd like to share a cute story. Me and my best friend, Y for the story, went to the local park down the street from my house. I suited up as Chippy, my beagle, and Y walked to the park with me. There was a BUNCH of children, all around 4-6, and about 2-3 adults. As soon as I was noticed, by both the adults and kids, it was chaos. I could tell the adults weren't necessarily the parents, but maybe some church group or something, and they did not approve of me being there. I wanted to make sure they knew I wasn't some weirdo or predator "I'm a kid too, look at my badge for proof!" I had a BLFC badge on so that people could see my name and that I was a minor without having to speak, as when I wear Chippy I'm usually a semi-silent suiter. There were a bunch of trouble-maker-kids and some sweet ones. The trouble makers did ALL OF THE ABOVE HORRIBLE THINGS, but the sweet ones, 2 boys and a little girl I believe, were sticking up for me against the other kids and my heart melted. "No don't beat the puppy up!!" "Be nice to the doggy!!" etc. The sweet ones wanted a bunch of hugs to which I happily obliged, and kinda followed me around while I was trying to be fair and play with everyone. I was getting really tired from the kids constantly touching me, hugging me, hitting me, chasing me, *slapping my rear* (which I kept telling them to stop and tried to sit down to avoid it along with Y telling them to stop), was taking everything out of me. I start to walk home with Y when I hear small footsteps. I had a suspicion it was one of the kids, and I was right. It was another one of the brats coming back for a final punch. Me and Y went back to walking when I heard small footsteps again. I thought it was the brat again so I ignored it, but still watched extra carefully where I was walking just in case it wasn't. I felt something grab my leg so I look behind me and nothing was there. I looked back in front of me and the sweet little children were hugging my legs. I have no idea how they got away from the adults, they were watching them like hawks! Plus I was already almost out of the park, if I was a weirdo I could've taken them!! I gave them big hugs and told them to go play with the other kids but they were just glued to me until I gave them high-fives and they ran back to the adults. I haven't seen them again, suiting or just in town, but I hope I do. The world needs more kids like them... ish, not like them in following people home lol.

Not a fursuit story but I went to a board game convention last year and they had a TTRPG hall, so my friends decided to cosplay our D&D and shadowrun characters. I was my Drow Rogue, Z'efya, meaning I was wearing grey bodypaint, gloves made from tights, red contacts etc, the whole shebang. So I sit down waiting for my friends at the subway station and this little girl and her mom come up to me. The girl is super excited, pointing at me and going "mom look! An elf!" I just smile and waved and they come over and ask to take pictures, the girl was super excited and asked me what kind of elf I was etc, the mom was super chill too and we talked a bit about shadowrun, it was super wholesome!!

Story time of my own: So these kids where harrassing me and my friend. I was wearing Eclipse a raptor with a day side and a night side. My friend was Violet a wolf with a crow mask. This was at a football game. They where pulling on my friend’s mask and doing all the stuff that brats normally say to fursuiters. But they decided something different for me. On Eclipse’s day side she has a rainbow because rainbows come out during the day self explanatory. They have the nerve to call me gay because HEAVEN FORBID I HAVE A RAINBOW ON MY MASK!!!!! I get fired up but don’t say anything about it because I wanted to strike at a good time. The next call me old because it’s a raptor. I crack a joke and say “oh of course I’m old sonny” in the most gramma voice I can. This brat. OHHHHH THIS BRAT! He punches me in the chin. FOR MAKING A JOKEEE! I swear they ran off laughing like hyenas. I told their principal but he is like: oh just go say sorry. What does he want him to do next go in the time-out corner? Same thing happened to my other friend. But the kid ran up, punched her in the chin, and ran away. I also got recognized by a tiny child from tiktok so that was awesome ^^

When my sister was in theater in her 2nd or 1st year of high school and got the roll of the big bad wolf for a traveling play to elementary schools in our district and the kids actively tried to pull off the tail that was clipped to her belt after the show was over so she ended up having to take it of so it wouldn't rip.

so im a 12 year old with a fursuit head ( i saved money myself and i know how to take care of it ) and once in winter when i was outside taking pictures a small kid came up to me and i saw that she had her one arm completely bandages and the mother told me that she broke her arm while biking and that seeing me was amazing because i looked ute and i was someone who bought a smile to her face, then my heart legit melted and i took pics and hugged the daughter and we ended up finding out that they are actually our neighbours! so i walked the daughter and her mom and went back to my home and still to this day were friends and she sometimes comes over to wear my suit and hug me and im still so happy that this happened

The last story about the little girl being so happy has actually brought tears of joy toy eyes. You are truly a Saint of a fur and have inspired me to start planning events where I organise with hospitals for some furs to go to the children's part and say hi. I Always Felt Like I Was Alone Being A Furry Im Finally Not Alone

When I was suiting in public with my brother and a friend of ours as a handler, a group of girls (something around 14 and 16) decided to pick on me for some reason. They bothered me and such and then one of em poked my eye mesh and what caused to poke my actual eye/face Aswell. Idk why people would bother people like that.

for Halloween last year I decided to suit up for the first time and go out with my little sister trick or treating my sister and mum being a makeshift handler of sorts for me as we went from door to door. One house in particular had this lovely pair of old ladies that invited us inside as most do in our parts when it comes to trick or treating and this old man though a little younger than the ladies came into the living room after the ladies called him through and his eye lit up. He was like a little child and was so excited to see this big fluffy dog in his house excitedly pointing at me wondering if he could pet my head. Honestly it is moments like that which make me enjoy suiting so much seeing someone like that old man suddenly become a little child at the sight of me. I am glad I have yet to face the terror of people who tugged and messed with my suit as everyone in the community has been so nice and having an understanding of what not to do.
