Researchers working at NASA have recently published more findings on their new type of nuclear fusion, giving options for a third type of fusion! They have called it a new shortcut to fusion power. If current limitations can be fixed, this could mean far space missions and reactors on earth could use this technology. It promises to be safer and smaller than current methods using inertial confinement fusion and magnetic confinement fusion.

This IS "cold fusion". Aka LENR, or about 5 other names for the same that i can't remember right now. Is it done at room temp? check, does it use lattice confinement? check. Does it claim to produce excess heat through nuclear reactions (fusion) check. Well, if it walks like a duck & quacks like a duck, then call it a duck.

A couple of comments. 1. Lattice confinement of Deuterium is a transient state. Quite unlike a battery. As soon as the metal lattice is Charged it starts to heat up. 2. 2.9+ Gamma radiation causes a tunneling through the electrostatic barrier to promote D-D fusion. The rest of the reaction produces a protron and Tritium or a neutron and helium3 the metal matrix Erbium can become an Isotope of Er or Thulium. Which means that the Erbium matrix cannot be re-charged with Deuterium. Thus the life of the reaction is short. It is also not energetic enough to create a positive energy balance.

This used to be called Cold Fusion. I guess if it's renamed to Lattice Confinement Fusion people will forget it's already failed once. Saying, "not to be confused with Cold Fusion" is hilarious since the proposed mechanism for how Cold Fusion was supposed to work is exactly the mechanism described in the video, the coulomb barrier being reduced by confinement in the metallic electrodes, which lead to much hunting for a magic sauce when making electrodes. The crucial thing is whether neutrons are emitted or not. You can tell whether it's fusion or not by whether or not neutrons are being emitted. It will come to nothing anyway.

you're looking for a harmonic coherent interference of a quasi particle. Like music. Time^3 = Energy^3 * Space^3. The collapsing space can fuel the next wave of the pattern....if you had a sympathetic / piezoelectric layer that makes a healthy magnetic field? Layers of magnetic pyroelectric electric nuclear materials. it's an odd coccoon. Hitachi Finmet / amorphous metal alloy next to the rebco (or other HTS) AND something like lithium tantalate, adjacent to something like graphene deuterium - boron - aluminum - berylium cvd layers... possible breakdown of conventional physics happens when you correct your unified field equation with mine. frequency and interference can be tuned to the quasiparticle etc, then the POWER is not relative to the local time....because of the space wave. So with my layers and special materials I would like to try to demonstrate the new theory..

Love your channel.just a question: The proposed "cold fusion"batterie by Fleischman and Pons in the 1980's also used the molecular grid of Chrystals, and cold still meant compared to usual plasma.The batterie is actually further used in Israel, but at the time F&P presented their discovery, they hadn't worked out all "which-errors-can-you-make-by-replicating" in an era BP hadn't invited the term carbon footprint yet, and hadn't the Clima change policy, that somehow made the fossil fuel industry amazing profits.

@domtoretto8616
@domtoretto8616 Жыл бұрын
This concept was done many years ago by using principles of destructive interference which were used to collapse the so-called electric field that makes up the Coulomb barrier temporarily allowing the protons to fuse. P&F did the same thing causing the palladium lattice to oscillate via resonance (not interference nor what was said in this video...) eventually overcoming the Coulomb barrier (i call it the Coulomb Node) thus causing some of the protons to fuse. You can do this with sound believe it or not... the trick is just knowing how. Tesla did it already via the understanding that atoms were standing waves and using the principles of harmonics, resonance, and interference to alter the behavior of the standing wave structure ;) Interestingly a smilier concept was used in the movie Chain Reaction in which the whole concept was based on sonoluminescence. The reaction became stable via a certain frequency of sound. This brute force fusion dog & pony show being funded by certain companies for decades was keeping pretty much everyone in the dark --- except a few dropouts :)

My understanding is that the small (tens of micrometers) pockets where fusion takes place are in the millions of degrees, with very high pressures above that of magnetic confinement - whereas cold fusion states that due to the high concentration of deuterons in a lattice the reaction can happen at room temperature without the energy and heating of the gama ray (which is used in NASAs work) There is a link to an IEEE article in the description and that links a paper which both have much more info! But it, like other forms of fusion, is likely to never reach an overall Q greater than 1, which would actually make more power than it consumes. Thanks, but the world doesn't have time to wait for this laboratory curiosity to generate power. We need to generate thousands of gigawatts from renewable sources to end our dependence on fossil fuels. This could be viewed as a distraction from the real issues, greenhouse gases that are causing climate change and must be ended before climate disaster ends a habitable Earth.
