Hey mate when you are using threaded gal pipe the whole time or could you do it with non threaded? Cheers in advance. Love this setup
@DanesinTexas
@DanesinTexas 3 жыл бұрын
Matt Trounce Hey Matt. I only used the threaded pipes because I only knew of the flanges to go with the threading...while doing the project, I found the clamps (quick clamps/knee clamps etc) and they were much better and easier to work with. So I finished the project using those. And then no threading is needed, in fact those clamps works with no threading much better. I would use the clamps everywhere, which means no threaded pipes at all, if I had to do build another one👍 I hope this help, lmk if u have any other questions 👊

Thanks for going into the technical finer details - I was undecided if to use 4 x 4's but will definitely use 4 x 6 or 6 x 6's. The hex key flanges are a great idea as well.

Thanks for the tips! I have watched a number of builds, so I appreciate the 4x6 tip. I have seen 4x4 and 6x6. The back extension board is super!!

Awesome design! This is one of the best I've seen. What kind of screws or bolts did use or recommend?

Thank you very much. I used galvanized lag screws. Used the drill-guide to make pilot holes for each screw, and made sure the screw length was about 2/3 into the post.The clamps I used all had the same hole size, so brought one to Home Depot and tested out which lag screws fit through there. On the dip bar station, I used zinc bolts all the way through the posts and secured with nuts. I hope this helped. Thanks for watching!

Really cool. I am planning to do a smaller version myself at some point. I'm thinking high pull up bar and dip station are essential, maybe a gymnastics/TRX station or climbing rope, maybe monkey bars... we'll see how much room I have. But all great tips. Any advice if the spot I am considering is really muddy most days from being a lower area?

Kevin Armes I would definitely use some small rocks for bottom of hole for post. Maybe a few more layers. Maybe an extra coat of protection on the part of the post that will go underground 👍

On the quick clamps did u use washer and bolt on screw and what type and size of screws
@DanesinTexas
@DanesinTexas 10 ай бұрын
Using the quick clamps you just need washer and lag screw. I brought the quick clamp to Home Depot and found galvanized lag screws that would fit through the hole. Then found some galvanized washers as well for that size. Buy clamps first and then screws👍

@@davidharcot220 we built it for the family. So we all can be outside and workout and spend time together. I have swings on it as well for them, and we do exercises, then play then back to exercises. It helps having people around you so you don’t feel like you are letting them down by not doing the workouts. Besides eating healthy, it is crucial for me that the kiddos stay active and do sports, since I did that too when I was young…this helps. We also have a garage setup we can use for when the weather is not for outside play…check it out kzfaq.info/get/bejne/iNVygc190rTYoHk.html
