G-BODY REAR DISC BRAKE CONVERSION USING S10 BLAZER PARTS: PART 2 BRAKE LINES

Күн бұрынI went to the Pick-n-Pull and got the rear disc brakes off a 2002 S10 Blazer. Installed on my 1986 LS1 Swapped Monte Carlo SS. If I can do it you can do it.

Parts list: 1998-2005 Chevy S10 Blazer 2WD
1. Rear calipers w/abutment brackets (used from salvage yard)
2. Rear parking brake assy (used from salvage yard)
3. Rotors and Pads (New)
4. Rear coilover relocation bracket (only needed if running coilovers in the rear)
5. Longer wheel studs. (my car is 12mmx1.5 studs, I used ARP part 100-7708)
6. Custom rear brake lines. ( you will have to adapt the rear hard line to a pair of rear soft brake lines running the calipers. PENDING, I HAVEN'T DONE THIS YET
7. Adapter the G-Body Parking cable to work with the Blazer parking lever. (I purchased new Blazer rear parking cables, Haven't installed yet. I will make a video when I get them to work)

My 79 trans am has factory rear disc brakes with the lever style e brake actuator. They are complicated calipers with a lot of moving parts inside the caliper. I’m thinking about looking into this to replace them as these e brakes are better. The axle housing I have looks ready to bolt this up. I’m wondering about the disc bolting up to my original axles and having the right space. It looks right but I don’t know. It’s a Gm 10 bolt differential.
