This is one I break out every few months, thinking the components should be great together, and all 4 times I conclude I still don’t like it. I just smoked it tonight and felt like the topping (rum?) was too much and overwhelmed the tobacco flavors. This eases up after a while but the whole time I’m avoiding tongue bite and the bowl getting too hot. This is the only Pease blend I’ve tried, but it’s the only thing from C&D that I outright don’t care for so far. Thanks Wilson. Great work as always.

I really like your channel and your comprehensive reviews. I got a tin of Windjammer tobacco last week and I'm really enjoying it. Also picked up a tin of University Flake which is delicious but I found the nick hit a bit stronger than anticipated.

Funny, I smelled the rum right off the bat. Smelled just like C&D Speakeasy to me. Very mellow smoke.

I have a tin that's just dropped in the post, but will wait a while before opening. Sounds good to me though!

I used to think I was a nicotine wimp but I smoke nightcap and Royal Yacht and they don't bother me. So I'm sure I can handle this.

Trying to figure this one out. It's not bad, it's just not great to my palate. Maybe "hum drum"?

The tin note still reminds of cheap booze. Very similar to the note on the Six Pence. Strangely, I like this a lot more than Six Pence. Maybe it's the addition of burley. I'm also not a fan of black cavendish and typically don't smoke anything that has it. It doesn't bother me in this blend, maybe because it's toasted or not sweetened? I have no idea, but I like this more than most GLP blends.
