Gaara's easily among my top5. I recommend any Gaara fan to read Gaara Hiden: A Sandstorm Mirage, it's one of the best Naruto novels and the shortest one. Sand coffin.

A lot of my favorite types of stories are anti-war stories with commentary on the cycle of violence. Last airbender, terminator, and naruto. Gaara is a great part of narutos theme of the cycle of war. Gaara is THE child soldier. Sasuke is just another conquest. Garaa wrongly sees himself as only seeing other people as obstacles to prove his own worth. Like a war torn world or land. Other countries don't exist to be conquered. Bonds can be formed. Kurama the nine tails wasn't an object to use for power but a being that is worth understanding and befriending for naruto. The nine tails is like garaa in a way. The blood thirsty entity that might secretly be crying out for love and purpose..

And to be fair, calling Gamabunta and Shukaku boxing it up in the forest a jonin level fight is the understatement of the year.

@Warrior Spirit Gamabunta ain't as strong as Kurama. They described battles between jonin as being capable of changing the landscape of the battlefield, so I would say this fight falls under the umbrella of jonin level. The jump from jonin to kage level isn't that big anyway
