The first thing you as a manager is applying football basics and structure into the team. Next you work on set-pieces before you apply any of your tactics or strategies. Get the basics right first if you are not the best team in the world. Set pieces are more important in the EPL than in any other league for numerous reasons and also even more important the lower you are the league. Ange is stubborn

I've had my doubts about Postecoglou since the Chelsea game where he played that ridiculously high line when we were down to 9 men. Unbelievably, he was widely praised for this (he was still the media darling at the time) I've wanted him out since he admitted that he doesn't do tactical preparation for the opposition. His comments sound worryingly naive and negligent. If Postecoglou just stubbornly continues to play in the same way next season, I think we will struggle as teams continue to figure us out, on top of the extra fixtures we'll be playing. I think he'll be gone by the end of next season.

They are taking this totally out of context to make a story, he said that set pieces are not the only issues with spurs and if it was only set pieces then he would take them more serious. Also look at the figures, a very small proportion are scored through corners, most hit the first man and get cleared. He is only 1 year in to a project and got top 5 in first season after Harry Kane.

They were Top October..they've only stayed 5th because the teams around them are shithouse..if AP had worked on set-pieces they would be challenging Arsenal&City...that small proportion can mean 9 or 12 pts in the context of 3 or 4 matches,fine margins....arrogance personified..he thinks he's a cool Aussie..its the PL not Bondi beach..I'd be horrified hearing talk like that if I was a Spurs supporter, a bit more realism needed from him or all Spurs's good attacking play is undone..

The Premier League is not the Scottish League, let's be honest here. Every week is a challenge in the PL so the small margins are even smaller and therefore set pieces are even more important. I'm not sure why he said that because it's hard to believe a top coach would be so dismissive of such an important part of the game.

As a manager, he should know that you don't just deal with one issue at a time. He should be working with the players on set pieces because there is clearly something wrong. It shouldn't take long to work on it and start seeing a big improvement.

He should be addressing this. We are regularly conceding goals from set pieces but Postecoglou thinks there are more important things to address. It's ridiculous.

I agree. I've had my doubts about him since the Chelsea game. He's too old to change his ways and I can see him getting increasingly found out and exposed by the opposition. I think he will be sacked before the end of next season.
