Another inspiration for Slowking could possibly be Mad Doctors, or even Sorcerers. Slowking's entries on the website line up with how Mad Docs and Sorcerers are usually presented as morally grey to slightly evil (if they aren't the villains and presented as pure evil), but have a very deep understanding of their fields, like how (I mistakenly put Dr. initially) Victor Frankenstein was able to stitch together body parts to create his monster. And since the only difference between poison and medicine is time and dosage, if Slowking learns any form of healing/restoration moves it would truly embody that teaching, and the characteristics of mad doctors and sorcerers

Actually, Morgan and Mordred aren’t connected at all in the original mythology. Overly Sarcastic Productions has an excellent video on exactly that.

It's possible the symbiotic relationship helped " evolve" shelder in a way it can absolutely only be on slowpoke, so technically it is an evolution, just not one we can ever have on its own

The poisonous Shelder could very well be the patron of the Slowking, giving it powers and intelligence in return for nutrients

I can see Slowking being basic on the Mad King George the third. George III died blind, deaf and mad on January 29, 1820. The idea you travel through the roots of this big magic tree to reach different realms (or homes in some interpretations) is pretty big Yggsadril energy. Like the only thing we are missing is a magical rat pokemon that is the attendant of the tree who uses its branches.

I always assumed that the slowbro and slowking shelders evolved with their hosts, and that's why they look funky

Considering it's the Shellder that changes in evolution while the Slowbro doesn't, I've always just headcanoned that biting on the Slowbro is just the trigger for Shellder to evolve. Pretty cursed existence, if you ask me. You evolve and lose all autonomy or even life while someone else benefits. The Shellder taking over the Galarian Slowking is just a role reversal of that.

What if a Shellder eat a slowpoke tail by it self? In Gen 2 Slowpoke tail's where a big part of the early game and if a Shellder needs to bite a slowpoke tail to evolve a slowpoke to slow bro what if they eat it buy it self it evolves into the pokemon that is on its tail.

You pointed out how trees were important for a lot of the myths. Well to tie them into Slowpoke, to evolve one into a Galarian Slowbro, you had to use Galarica twigs found from trees, and make them into a cuff for Slowpoke to wear. So do you think the twigs maybe used again for Galarian Slowking, but as like a crown it wears, before Shellder becomes it's new crown? I mean it kinda ties trees to even it's design? idk

It's also kind of similar to the Mind Flayers in D&D too. Especially the way they produce more using Mind Flayer Worms, though more overt.

I think an interesting thing to note about Galarian Slowking is that half of its body is purple. The reason this is so interesting is because if we are to believe the Shelder upon its head is vampiric, it could be eating away at the Slowking's body. Usually when blood is unable to access certain points in the body, they become dark blue or purple from lack of blood flow. Meaning, Slowking might also be undead, much like the vampiric inspiration.
