The food/watermelon-smashing routine became an albatross, from which he never recovered from, which was a real shame, as he really made a lot of great observations about people and life in general, a lot of which have really held up very well over the years.

Yup, that would have been a low point of life.

Any Gallagher fan would be beside themselves doubled in pride to be picked on as one of Gallagher's ruining the show assholes. Don't forget the mega groupies that actually would catch multiple shows at various cities when he toured. He'd see them and know to trash one or two of these super fans just to get the crowd going as the attacked audience member would be losing their minds crying for joy while killing themselves laughing honored to be picked as a small part of the show.

Either way it seems kinda strange, from the little i've seen of him it seems really out of character, or at least the character he seems to be on stage.. If it was real then I understand his point but it seemed like it could of just a easily been said without the level of offense. Or in a way that was relative to his character.. And if it was part of his act it seems even more strange to be at that level? He gives off the sense that his character wouldn't generate that much pissed offness towards someone, that he would state what he needed to say but not get that wound up. Maybe I'm missing something though..
