Yes, I was one of the people who owned a Phillips CDI. I bought it for Burn Cycle, the Encyclopedia, and the Zelda games. Those Zelda games were so bad, but Burn cycle was a decent FMV game.

Bioshock is more of a spooky fun-house, than full horror. It can be scary and tense at times in many ways. But, the power fantasy of the plasmid super powers, make it like playing a game of laser tag in a "Haunted Funhouse." It's definitely a Haloween game, for sure!

Regarding Stadia netcode - isn't this similar to how some fighting game netcode works? The ones with better latency/performance, anyway

I have a similar story to Sam regarding trading a NES for Genesis in the early nineties. Then playing almost nothing except Sonic and a few licensed titles and wishing I had the SNES, particularly after Donkey Kong Country arrived and then JRPGs started to hit their stride.

Most ported game ...Doom maybe? It is on a lot of systems, and I had it on my Texas and Casio calcs in highschool and uni. I believe it is on jaguar, 3DO, Saturn, PS, SNES to name a few..

No console purchase regrets actually. I’m a person that waits for the hype to die down and then I purchase it with a good library. However, I do regret a lot of game purchases.

I bought a PS3 for Final Fantasy XIII, I was lukewarm with the game but it finally killed my love for Final Fantasy... not sure if I regret my console purchase since I wanted to play FFXIII but never played any games in my PS3 since.

Played some bangers but definitely nowhere near worth it Maybe picking up a Gamecube originally instead of a PS2 was the main regret but I was able to play a lot of those games eventually on friends/relatives consoles and through sleepovers before owning one. Same deal with 64 vs PS1, played a lot of good ones on friends' consoles

Of course Manhunt 2 is on Wii. Some things are censored, but it's there. It's not on any Xbox though! It's the only game with MadWorld in the Wii library in the 'gore' genre. If your Wii is modded you can play a patched (pirated) version of the game that removes the censorship.

For the people who regret buying classic PlayStation. I actually bought a USB 128GB from eBay has over 300 games on it and most of them were awesome PS titles!

I have no regrets with any of the consoles I have purchased, the PS Classic turned out to be my new emulation console. When I bought the Wii U there were so many exclusives I wanted to play and theXBox One I bought for Halo Anniversary and Forza. I have no regrets of any consoles I have bought.

I regret buying a Xbox One, with the lack of exclusives, I ended up giving it to my mom to watch Netflix. I bought it for Halo, but ultimately not worth 400bucks. I also DO NOT regret not buying a Wii U. I knew that system was trash when it was first announced

Wow, I had almost the exact same experience as Sam. Couldn't wait for SNES, had to have 16 bits NOW! So I sold my NES to my brother, and all my games (20'ish) for next to nothing, so I could buy a Genesis. For which I had no games but Altered Beast, which came with it. Worst. Trade. Ever. I found a lot to love with the Genesis over the years, and wouldn't have regretted it if I hadn't lost my NES and all the great games I had. So stupid.

Wii-U. Bought it for Xenoblade Chronicles X which was a massive disappointment. Sold the system right afterwards

I wish this was a daily show. I love this guys. This is the only IGN show/podcast I laugh all the time. Sam is like a gaming Savant. The shit he knows is crazy. If there ever was a Jeopardy that was video games only he better be on it. Daemon too. Justin would get the odd games no one else plays. Lol. I regret buying the X1. It was a day one purchase. First Xbox console I bought day 1. I didn’t buy the 360 until like 3-4 years after it was released and got it for like $200. I was going to getting it but at the last minute order it. I use it for tv mostly. I play a few games here and there. PS4, Switch, and PC is where I game usually. The next gen might be the first time I don’t get both at launch. I will get the ps5 of course but unless Scarlett turns out to having something amazing it will be a later purchase. I knew it was part of the Skate or Die series.

I regret buying a nintendo switch and the wii u. Just ain't my thing i guess.. bad internet servers and games that should have multiplayer don't have multiplayer like mario party for example. Played zelda and liked it, but that wasn't enough for me not regretting it.

Regretted my Vita. I only ever used it for Persona 4 Golden and Hotline Miami. And I really didn't like Uncharted Golden Abyss even though I love the Uncharted franchise. It was a wonderful handheld but there was hardly anything I liked on it.
