I just love Game Scoop more and more every week. I’ve been around 6 years now and I think this is officially my favourite Game Scoop Squad! I would watch anything you guys do. I’ve never found a better group of hosts that compliment each other so perfectly. I honestly wish we got more of the Game Scoop crew.

Mickey’s Racing was my son’s favorite when he was under 10 y.o. I could not sleep in on weekends because instead of watching cartoons, he’d play that game and crank up the sound. We played it last month on Retropi when he had time off from college for winter break. That game and Diddy Kong Racing.

In FF7 you learn about the floating hand cursor and door arrows in Sector 7's Beginners Hall (above the weapon shop)! Most people just learned about it from messing with the controller or reading the manual.

Hmm, I actually always imagined that Mario was shooting fireballs from his nose. When he shoots/projects them he holds his arm up by his face and I imagined he was blocking his opposing nostril propelling a fire ball from the other.

I think I'm most pumped for Hollow Knight Silksong this year. Assuming it comes out in 2020. The original Hollow Knight turned out to be one of my favorite games ever. I just beat the 5th pantheon (Boss rush with every boss in the game, back to back) for the first time a few days ago. It was one of the hardest/most rewarding things I've ever done in a game. Can't wait for Silksong!
@SonicBroham

huge Hollow Knight fan as well, and I think it's crazy that it seemed to largely fly under the radar of most the IGN staff? really weird given how much they love metroidvania. someone brought it up on a scoop way back and they said it wasn't clicking with them. I could not believe two people made that beautiful, challenging game.
@mileswilliams4807
@mileswilliams4807 4 жыл бұрын
@@SonicBroham Yeah it's damn good. Different strokes for different folks I guess. I can see people not liking it if they don't like difficult games. It's not the most difficult game I've ever played or anything, but it definitely has some tough moments. A lot of people won't look past that unfortunately. It's a shame.

Aw man, I’m with Sam, as usual. I consider Steamworld games to be Nintendo exclusive, only because that’s where I played them all. Aside from the first Steamworld Dig, which I played on 3DS, I’ve played (and loved) all the others on my Switch. I love how they take on different genres for their games, while maintaining a similar yet varied aesthetic for each as well. I just finished Quest a couple days ago, and started my New Game + right away. I remember doing the same when I finished Heist. Highly recommend all the Steamworld games.

even without a ps5 or a next gen xbox version of cyber punk the ps4 and xbox one versions will most likely run better on next gen systems. if cyber punk has a performance mode on current gen with adaptive resolution and that targets 60 fps played on next gen could see a locked 4k60 on those systems

In light of the recent news about the crunch going on at CD Projekt for the development of Cyberpunk, and just the general reports that we've been hearing for years about companies forcing employees to work crazy amounts of overtime--sometimes even to the point that it adversely affects the health of developers (even leading to nervous breakdowns, etc.) is there a point at which these kinds of unethical business practices should be taken into account in things like review scores? If Cyberpunk comes out and gets a great review (it does seem like a good game) which then leads to great sales--what incentive does the company then have to treat their employees better? If a video game review outlet as big as IGN started penalizing the review scores of games released by companies engaging in this behavior, it could actually have a positive effect on the talented and hardworking developers who worked so hard on the thing that we all enjoy.
