Always a pleasure to listen to the Game Scoop crew. I really appreciate your approach to talking about different games current and not, the great chemistry and banter, different opinions, and video game knowledge and experience across a broad scope of video game history and genres. Daemon is a great and affable host and Sam and Justin have always been excellent complimentary commentators, and Sam's humor really seems to lighten the mood and let everyone have a good time. Tina has been a great addition to the show, too. Best and most fun crew. Nicely job and keep up the great work!

Yeah, the best IGN show by far, always has been. I totally agree about Sam (he’s a legend) and I love how he and Justin bounce off one another. I still miss CJ for his Canadian angle (great sense of humour) and he fitted in with a lot of historical gaming knowledge. Genuine question - in your opinion, what would you say Tina brings to the table because you didn’t actually say?
@dungeonimp
@dungeonimp 4 жыл бұрын
@@modestyblaise4167 CJ was definitely a fun co-host, had a infectiously cheery disposition, and his classic game music recognition skills were kind of amazing. As far as what I like about Tina, I just think she is a newer generational voice that complements the podcast. So while her sensibilities are toward modern games, that's cool because the others have classic games covered between them. She likes some different genres than the others that tend to be more modern as well, e.g., horror and shooters, so can add to the discussion on those games. Her demeanor is friendly and relaxed, she has a nice sounding voice, and she fits in naturally with the cadence of banter and conversation with her Game Scoop co-hosts. Also seems in tune with the business side of the games industry, which can be interesting sometimes, too. While I think Daemon, Justin, and Sam are the core people of the show (I mean who else can do 20 questions so well!) others like CJ and Tina have done great as co-hosts and both work nicely with the Game Scoop crew!
@modestyblaise4167
@modestyblaise4167 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your excellent reply. Yeah, what I liked about CJ was his energy and he felt like such a tight ‘fit’ with Sam and Justin, with the 3 of them often bouncing off each other. Obviously most of that is down to them having similar interests and gaming knowledge. At the moment, I feel the current flow a little bit disjointed. It can’t be easy for Tina being on GS, and I remember her first appearances, I just wish she’d open up more to relay a deeper modern gaming knowledge that I hope she has to balance out the show a little more. When the guys are in full on mode they are funny but passionate and that’s where I’d like Tina stimulate the conversation more, rather than throwing in funny and quick one liners because she’s either afraid to be wrong or feels unequipped to add more. I’ve been watching Game Scoop for a very long time and while some of IGN’s shows have dropped off recently, this show is by far the best. This is just my opinion and I’m rooting for the show to get better and better going forward.

I’m similar to Justin.....whatever media is in front of me, it has my undivided attention. I don’t do “background Netflix” or anything while playing. I think a lot of ppl claim to be fans of TV shows, but then you realize they just had it on while doing other things. I do like podcasts while doing some multiplayer grinding tho (LoL, COD, etc), I turn the music off in those games, voices and other things waaay down or off, except SFX maxed out. So I can get/hear important queues to stay competitive, but also have a podcast going simultaneously. Love you Omega Cops!

I like how they portrayed Cal Kestis he reminded me of Jack Frost from Rise of the Guardians but it would have been cooler if he had a big brother who sacrificed himself to get away when he was a little boy and instead of Trilla it is this male exquisite who turns out to be Cal big brother and it would be like how Luke found out Vader was his father. this game was like a mix in od Rise of the Guardians and Guardians of the Galexy.

When Stadia gets released I think it'd be cool if you all did a breakdown on a potentially real price of Stadia versus a console. Sure, there's an upfront cost with a console but if I have to pay $10 a month for 4k, potentially get data cap fees, also have to upgrade my internet potentially (which I understand varies across country), what's the breakdown compared to a once-and-done console? I'm just really curious about that and, of course, performance.

Xbox Game Pass is only ten bucks a month and will include Project xCloud at some point next year. There are currently 50 games available in preview on Android, with IOS and Windows 10 support coming soon. So you will get over 200 games without having to buy them separately, but can do that as well. Stadia is a hard sell comparatively, in my opinion.

@@SotNist I like driving around with the Batmobile and think they nailed how badass it is and should feel, and as for the tank sections I do think they are maybe a bit too frequent (better than Riddler's races though) but I also think people didn't take the time to learn the combat in the same way they did the normal combat with Batman back in Asylum. There's more depth and nuance there then people suggest when they talk about it. Again I guess it's just easier to say "this sucks" rather than explain why they think it is bad.

Late to the party this week, but awesome episode, as always! I'm loving this crew every week!...Man I'm pumped for Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Unfortunately my wife is making me wait until Christmas. Justin, that droid impression was SPOT-ON, lol! I knew exactly what droid you were talking about after hearing that....I'm watching this on the same day that Google Stadia announced a bunch more games, so that's good on them, but I still don't care right now....I'm really glad Daemon included that PSA about FFII, lol....I imagine shooting a physical pellet would indicate where your shot hit more precisely, but honestly that whole idea sounds awful...Metroid Prime 3 looked and played great, Sam. That scene with Ridley falling down that tunnel was epic, like the Balrog scene in Lord of the Rings 2. The gameplay was great throughout. Not Prime 1 level, sure, but by no means was it disappointing....Great show! Loved the humor, the fun stories, and anecdotes.

What is Justin suggesting that these games are free for everyone? You can have a Chromecast Ultra that you already own, use a controller that you already own, and get by with a great experience at 1080p without having to pay for a console or subscription and all you have to do is pay for the game. that seems like a great deal to me

I'm glad I didn't have to be "that guy" - not first anyway. They fire bolts of plasma, not lasers. Love the show omega cops

Pocketmobsters He does, but it’s just annoying when he says for instance “i don’t like horror games, who wants to have that feeling of terror?” Idk he just comes off as whiny especially for a grown man. I think it was last week or the week before on that episode of scoop when they were talking about games to play for Halloween and he was just acting extra childish about it.

Sean's Midas Touch I’m the wrong person to weigh in on that topic because I sympathize 100% with Justin on horror games. I’m not a fan of spooky games and that feeling of dread, even if I’ve played through Dead Space and Resident Evil games. He’s not being childish or whiny, he’s saying how he feels. I’d rather have Justin keeping it real than fake being some “tough guy”. It’s good to have a variety of opinions, if you ask me.
