Schitt's Creek is one of the best shows in the last 5 years. I watched the first few episodes and fell off since it didn't click at first. But a friend convinced me to keep going and I'm so glad I did. It's hilarious (well written), good actors, and has a lot of heart. The ending will make you cry.

Also in the Death Stranding DC trailer, that MGS-esque bit also showed that rat going into an air vent. If this trailer is indicative of what the trailer shows, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll also be able to traverse via the vents like you could in the MGS series.

The Tiny Tina's DLC Assualt on Dragon Keep is one of my gaming comfort foods along with the holiday themed headhunter packs in Borderlands 2. It's such a fun mix of my love of tabletop games and looter games and I love how it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's short enough to beat over the course of a weekend in spurts which is about all I get to play games these days. Needless to say, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is one of my most anticipated games of all time. The Borderlands 2 dlc was originally kind of locked behind a lot of gameplay time because the enemies were a higher level (around 30) at a minimum. But with the introduction of the Fight for Sanctuary DLC that came out before Borderlands 3, you can now start at a good enough level to jump right in with a newly created character. If someone hasn't played it or doesn't remember it, I highly recommend jumping in that way.

The tree is not from G.R.R.M material.... It's a berserk reference as someone else pointed out. Berserk is a HUGE influence on the souls game and appears ALL over the place including in the NUMEROUS wolf like human characters, which are ALSO a berserk reference.
@TundraBoy69
@TundraBoy69 3 жыл бұрын
World trees were a thing in differant mythologies and stories long before berserk. G.R.R.M and Miyazaki are no doubt familiar with these mythologies, particularly Norse which has clearly influenced both their work. The tree in Elden Ring obviously bears a resemblance to that in Beserk but G.R.R.M and Miyazaki could have easily drawn it's concept from other sources while in the process tipping their hat to Beserk.
@Kmaitland89

@redgourd864
@redgourd864 3 жыл бұрын
It’s also possible that he got it from norse mythology. people don’t give miyazaki enough credit for his own work and want to amount everything to a “berserk reference”. Yes, he makes a lot of berserk references in his game but there are also a ton of things that were inspired from different sources such as mythology, art, architecture, or other video games and creators. Don’t get me wrong, Berserk is what got me into dark souls lol, it’s just annoying to hear constantly.

Why is Elden Ring important
@thegitgudgrrl
@thegitgudgrrl 3 жыл бұрын
@@boluke2340 Fromsoft has made 6 bangers in a row. Demons Souls, 3 Dark Souls, Sekiro and Bloodborne. Finishing these games is life changing. They are so hard, but fair. When I doubt myself on anything, I remember that I have beaten these amazing games and I can do anything. It’s not something that someone who never played can understand. I’m speaking for myself about all that, but I’m pretty involved in the community and it is THE BEST! When we co-op, we greet each other and a true duel has a whole process. I could write a book on why Fromsoft games are so important.

Sorry, i disagree. Because do you do this just for Fromsoft? or every other game developer? i don't care about Elden Ring. It looks like every other Fromsoft game. I'm not sure why everyone is so amazed by the Elden Ring trailer. People act like it was a huge surprise to see it. Hell, I would have been surprised if we DIDN'T see it. It was only announced in 2019, two years is a short time between announcement and release for games. Its no Skull & Bones or Elder Scrolls VI. Seems right on time. I also feel like the graphics seem to be pretty lacking for a 2022 release. If you told me this is a Dark Souls 3 trailer, I'd believe you. Maybe I just expected something more unique and different, like Sekiro and Bloodborne were. I hope the game is great, I just... expected more and don't understand the hype. Maybe its all due to the excited people on r/eldenring.

Played all 3 dark souls and bloodborne and sekiro. I agree with Daemon, I always thought that the story is the weakest part of those games. Part of the reason why Sekiro is my favorite is that it is the only one with an actual story. I don't want to know about all the cool stuff that happend 1000 years ago. I want to SEE all the cool stuff happening right now. Lore is nice, but doesn't replace an actual story. I sincerelly hope Elden Ring doesn't follow the same patern.
@redgourd864
@redgourd864 3 жыл бұрын
it might, for better or worse. it seems miyazaki likes to write his stories like that, where the actual game takes place in the “end” of the world and most of the lore comes from before.

There is not a single thing that excites me about a damn soulslike. The constant dying is a major turn off. Seriously, how many soulslikes have you actually completed?
@redgourd864
@redgourd864 3 жыл бұрын
souls likes are built so that the feeling of beating a boss is exhilarating and gratifying, it feels like you actually overcame the odds. dying is just a part of the integral experience of the game. it’s not shameful to die at all in these games. when it comes down to it; the actually dark souls series isn’t that hard because of the many weapons, infusions, upgrades, and buffs. you can easily 3-4 hit kill almost all the bosses if you know your stuff and came prepared. the biggest test of skill is from when you first turn on the game to when you beat the first boss. it sounds like elden ring will be much more accessible for new comers.with a multitude of swappable weapon arts and more weapons in general than dark souls. and to answer that question; i’ve beaten just about every soulslike i could get my hands on :)
