All of Arkane worked on Dishonored 1, Arkane Lyon went on to do Dishonored 2 and Death of the Outsider, while Arkane Austin went on to do Prey, Moon Crash, and the upcoming Redfall. So this game is from the team that has done the most in the Dishonored world so it makes sense that so much of the powers are coming over.

Yeah, I have to agree with Daemon on this one. Technical difference between Console Exclusive and Platform Exclusive are distinctly separate things. A PC is a platform not a console.

The Switch OLED is for people that have had their original Switch since release and it’s cracked, scratched, broken, the battery is shot and sounds like an angle grinder. I’ve played my Switch to death because it gives me something I don’t get from other gaming.

I agree with Justin. I think what we thought was going to be the Switch Pro will be the Switch 2. I think it's a couple years out and will be backwards compatible with Switch games (but not vice versa)

I play my Switch in dock 75% of the time. Oled edition is not for me but that’s ok. I dropped enough on the SeriesX and not to mention that I enjoy the switch just fine right now.

I probably won't be able to find a PS5 this year it seems...guess I am PS4 for another year and this makes me glad that Horizon and God of War are coming to PS4 too. I'd like to play the PS5 versions though but scalpers are still grabbing them up. I've had at least 6 in my cart in the past month in a half only to see them disappear during the checkout process. The problem is Nintendo don't have any competition in the handheld space so they can do whatever they want. I wish Sony would bring out a new hand held it would be amazing and it would actually push Nintendo to be more competitive.

I'm in the minority but I actually agree with Justin on 20 questions. I don't think he was arguing that the PC is a console but that the whole line of questioning assumed that the game was multi platform. I feel like in the past the console exclusive has been treated the same as saying platform exclusive sometimes.

PC and Mac are considered different platforms, so WOW is a multi-platform game.

I tried so hard to like Death Stranding. Like a lot of people I love Kojima, I love Metal Gear, and Silent Hill pretty much raised me so Im no stranger to unorthodox story telling but I just don't think I am smart enough to truly appreciate Death Stranding. All that said I will still buy the director's cut because Kojima's name is on it so I must own it lol.

The way you all talk about Deathloop makes me want to recommend Contra Hard Corps so bad. It basically plays out exactly like Justin's hypothetical game loop. At least watch a playthrough if anything. The game is very different depending on your decisions made throughout the story.

Totally agree with Seth regarding Death Loop. To me it looks like it's trying too hard to be 'stylish', the weapons look and sound kind weird, extremely arcady and look aimed at a younger audience, in the same way as Fortnite is. I love first person but this doesn't appeal to me at all. Not that it'll be an option and I'm looking forward to finally leaving Sony behind and going back to the system I'm far better suited to, but even if it were an option I'd check it out when/if it were available for free as part of the monthly gaming tax. As Sony (pretty much anything) doesn't appeal to me but was that State of Play really what Sony fans want? Was that an exciting reveal of future games?

No Justin, Nintendo never planned for a Pro. The problem was the media falsely labelling the rumours (both for the red box update 2 years ago and the OLED) as a Pro and so created all the confusion and false hope. A Pro is a specific concept, seen only at one point in the history of gaming, and that was because of the sudden emergence of 4K and HDR early in the generation PS4 and XBO. Why the gaming world suddenly thinks a Pro is a mainstay of console cycles and, worse, something Nintendo would consider is bizarre. I've only been saying it here and NVC for 2 years and finally it's dawned the real leap in performance with be the Switch successor. Likely that will be with BOTW 2 late 2022.

Standard should be 1080p 60fps. There is no excuse for lazy Nintendo after 4 years. Nintendo fanbase standards are just low and they take advantage of that knowledge.

The AC thing is kinda weird, but also kinda makes sense.....I loved Origins, and Odyssey would have been amazing, but it was way too long.......

I am on a lot of Nintendo Groups, as a Sega kid I have no nostalgia for most of their games. I am a gamer at heart with PS, PC+GamePass and Switch. I think the best thing Nintendo has is their fans. Things that would burry PS, XBOX or PC hardware manufactures (e.g. NVIDIA), I see Nintendo fans bending over backwards to defend and comparing how good Nintendo is for doing it even. Issues are turned into non-issues by the fans. Every few days I see a post how good the Switch is compared to PS5 or XSeries, in these confirmation bias bubble groups. When I pose a question, why don't you want them to do better for all, they just don't care and think I hate Nintendo for even asking this question or am some Xbox fanboy. So yes they will buy anything they put out, until there is some real competition for Nintendo (esp. in the Handheld area), they will continue on this path of milking these fans

Microsoft had xbox 1, S and X in the same gen. Theoretically this could be the S and there is still an X (pro) down the line the isn't the next gen.

I would argue that Death Loop doesn't even look as good as some Ps4 games. But it look cool. Doesnt "wow" me or interest me though.

What I would love out of the Assassins Creed franchise is to cut down on the bloated and unnecessary 60+ hour stories. A 20 hour story that 50% of players complete is a lot better than a 60 hour story that only 20% of players compete Also, it would be COOL if this new Assassins Creed game had 3 settings/eras 1. American Civil War 2. China/ Mongolia, Genghis Khan 3. Russia, 1918

The SeriesX and PS5 can barely do it and often have to trade off frame rate to do fake 4k. Computers that are as big as a mini-fridge can do it but cost like $3-5 THOUSAND dollars and people think they are going to get a hand held that can do this for just a few hundred.... Keep dreaming people. It's not real. Any kind of more powerful switch is YEARS (3/4+) away and even it will not be a 4k machine. It's just not reasonable. Get over it. The OLED model is great and we should be happy about it. Stop getting mad because you wanted a fantasy land rumour to be true.
