Mgsvtpp is one of the finest game ever made, the gameplay and mechanics are perfect and I for one found the story very intriguing. A worthy end to a legendary franchise

Man, MGSV is sooooooo good. Played it until completion when it released. Nearly 100% completion. The story is so out there and the writing is amazing. The entire game is just perfect (minus the ending or lack of.). Too bad Kojima won't be able to bring a real finish to the series.

MGSV is better than people think. You just really have to know Metal Gear series thoroughly

This game was an absolute masterpiece. You just had to be familiar with the series. The only thing I reeeeally wish it hadn't left out was, what was up with young Solid Snake at this time.

Is it me or does the Man on fire remind me of Colonel Volgin from Snake eater?

I don't know why I just keep watching all these metal gear reviews, analysis and story breakdowns or recall or summary. I just love this series so much that I am sad it ended but at the same relieved that I was able to experience the amazing game franchise.

It's almost all correct, however I have to point out a single mistake - Miller did not incur these damages (loss of leg and arm) due to him being captured by the Soviets, he lost his limbs during the same explosion Big Boss and Venom were caught in. He also survived it but just like Venom, he lost his hand, but also a leg. The difference is that he must have awakened and healed some time before BB and Venom did, that's why he started his operations earlier. That is why he is so full of anger and driven by revenge throughout the game. If that physical damage was done to him by Soviets, he would not be so full of hatred towards Cipher as he is. He is angry not just because Mother Base was destroyed and loss of his comrades, but primarily because he heavily suffered it himself.

btw just saying if you listen to the tapes you collect though mgsV you will find out some things like emrick knew all along about the inspection and that it was a ruse. The man on fire is actually vulgin from mgs3. Vulgin, quiet, the male parasite squad and the female parasite squad are alive because of parasites on their skin thats why quiet is wearing so little clothing so the parasites on her body can breathe. edit: also i forgot to say quiet cant speak because she has the English parasite strain and if she would speak she would kill herself and infect others.

I watched the MG Games in chronological order and to be honest I had problems to understand the story of part 5. I feel like even if MGS5 is before MGS4, chronological speaking, I kinda feel that you need to know MGS4 to fully understand its story.

WHAT... MGSV IS A PREQUEL?!?!!??

I actually forgot Eli was in this......MGSV's story was that forgettable to me and that should never happen in a Metal Gear game (never did before) - I think the open world game design parameters hindered the narrative as the story got stretched out well past the length it should and could have been....it easily fits inside a 12-15 hour linear campaign....TBH if they kept it open-world but made the story finishable within 30-40 hours I would have been much happier. 110 hours was the clock time by the time I unlocked "Truth ending". Peace Walker is almost the canon MGS5 (watch the first PW trailer and it had the number "5" in it under the guise of a camera film reel countdown timer) to me, a far better game in story and length as well as better side ops. #FucKonami as they made the work conditions hell on earth for Kojima, god bless him....I wouldn't envy the job he had
