I agree wholeheartedly. Laura, as you become more and more well known, unfortunately there are many different types of people drawn to your property and what goes on there. The gate would look nice at the beginning of your driveway near where the maple trees on YOUR property start. It is a reality that should be placed at the top of your priority list. That is also the reason I keep mentioning the gravel as good for security. Best holiday wishes.
@007Lehua3 жыл бұрын
I totally agree with Linda. Personally, I find it creepy if someone was driving onto my property nowadays. Living on a farm years ago, we had a gravel driveway which we could hear from the house, but my dad eventually had to put a gate up to keep others out of our property, especially at night. Definitely something to consider. Enjoy the rest of your week and stay safe. 🥰

The way that Laura pronounces poinsettia is actually the way you pronounce it in Spanish so it's not wrong. You are correct girl! Own it! You are helping shout out our Hispanic culture here in the US, I love it!
@marieburton61273 жыл бұрын
Poinsettias are really not named in Spanish.......they are named after the South Carolina botanist Joel Poinsett who was a Minister to Mexico and started sending them to his greenhouses back in the States as early as 1824. They were given their Latin names by two Austrians about 1836! So Poinsettia had already become the common name and in this part of the country would be pronounced poin-set- tia. Every area has their own little accent, y’all are neither right nor wrong, just different.......

I love how you do not get bent out of shape when people make silly comments or judgemental comments. Stay the course and go with your gut feeling. You inspired me to dig up my whole backyard this summer which was weeds taller than 5 feet and by watching you, I had the confidence to plant over 100 perennials with my husband. We had a ball and it was all thanks to watching your videos. You make everything look so easy and I must say, for that reason, we went ahead with this project. It was super hard but so satisfying. Thank you for being you!

45 minutes? Dang. I drive 45 min and I’m still in the same city. LOL

I think the wooden spoon thing is an old wives tale or something - it's never worked for me either. lol

I use it every time. Most of the time it works, but you have to put the spoon on top at the right time. Just when the foam is starting to rise. But of course it doesn’t always work.

It's not magic, lowering the temp a little after the water reaches boiling would work fine. Anything solid would work, it doesn't have to be wooden or a cooking spatula.

Laura, I used to watch a lot of different videos, however, when I ran into yours I didn't look back. Not trying to put anybody down; I just noticed you were to the point, a great teacher, positive, caring and full of life. Not boring because you don't drag your videos. Being a public speaker myself, I can say you are what people are enjoying and looking to learn from, at the same time relax. So, thank you❣

I’m like you, “get to the point”. I enjoy watching the videos that you speed up. I think there’s a good mix of how you guys create all of your videos. Thank you for all the hard work both of you do. It’s definitely made me look at and care for my garden more, especially with using fertilizers. The only thing I wish, is that my garden looked like just one of your spaces. They are all so pretty. I love gardening, but struggle with how to plant a beautiful rectangle garden in my small townhome backyard. ☹️🌳🌸🌲

I think a gate would be a good idea for you to pursue. Also, I agree with you, Laura. I like the sped up videos. Slow with lots of talking just frustrate me I skip so I can see the end result. My vote is for you to stay with your style you have 👍. I like your style

I live in northern WI but grew up in ND so Midwest all the way lol and we say poinsettia the way you do 🤷♀️ how does impatient gardner, Erin say it? 😂🤔😜 *edited* just to add as the video’s continued - been a fan for years! you guys are really so wonderful - thank you 💗

My closest Lowe’s is also 45 min away but it’s so worth it to go there between the better options and clearance plants 😄

I think beautifully handcrafted wrought iron electronic gates at the entrance of your property would be a solution for security and privacy! I can just imagine the gates with large green wreaths that Laura has made through her forage finds and Aaron would have a reason to decorate the gates with Christmas lights! Win, win!!! I so enjoy your channel(s) and all your inspiration! Merry Christmas!!!
