Josh, It's very likely that they are carrying essential Cargo within its cargo bay. Singapore Airlines are currently doing CARGO only flights with its Boeing 777s between Singapore and Auckland.

@@band-maidsheep2665 His accent is a mixture of German and Aussie, though tending more towards the latter. However, some words like carenteen (quarantine) still trip him up. He definitely doesn't sound like a typical German though.

many died though, here in greece we implemented hard measures early on, not many people died yet, but now all the people are back on the streets, some party on squares, they do not exercise social distance, everyone thinks everything is fine... we are going to be fucked

and it’s easier to ensure social distancing on an A330 than on a 737. They are not using the A330s for long haul routes right now anyway. Also fuel is incredibly cheap right now or they are doing fuel hedging which means they have more than enough fuel. edit: another aspect that comes to my mind is that parking is cheaper for a 737 than for an A330.

They are also still needing planes for repositioning to routes that do have passengers, and still use the empty planes to fly more freight when there's no passenger baggage

Totally agree! As a commercial airline enthusiast, it's heartbreaking to see the airline industry failing. I love looking to the sky everyday when I hear an airliner fly over and say to my partner "That's an Airbus A330 and it's American Airlines coming in from Europe to Charlotte NC." (I live an hour North on a flight path). I don't hear the planes anymore. Very rare. So sad. Air travel has been changed forever just like 9-11. I really hope we get back to normal but not sure. Thanks for the wonderful report Josh. A trip report is a trip report. The honest truth! Right now, it sucks. Wait till 2100-2130 because every year there is a virus that terrorizes the world like an annual boss battle.

We were lucky Free speech. I'm in Perth. When covid hit and PM said to get home we were in Japan. Flights kept getting cancelled. We were lucky to get home. We had to isolate at home for 2 weeks. My adult son would drop groceries at our door and sit in our front yard. We would sit on our balcony and chat. It broke his heart. Hubbies work hours were cut in half. But I consider us lucky. I am an essential worker so worked all the way through and hubby hours were only cut for a while. Although we were totally cut off from the world we had it easy. We have just got back from 2 months in Greece, Turkey, Croatia. People are certainly on the move there. Never seen so many people travelling. Just doing my last day of isolation. Picked up covid in Singapore or on the plane. Felt pretty average, but it was so good to be back travelling.

Yeah i know, but Indonesian live in tropical enviroment which usually warmer than south Asia. That's why they're so confidence about their immunity as fine as supported by warm climate with a lot of useful herbs and spices
