very nice, just ordered mine for my blazer. Mainly just for the tummy tuck. The R4/v8 combo really leaves the stock t-case vulnerable.

I don't know if I use a "ton" of power, but I have run some pretty hot setups. The only drawback with this super scale driveline that I can tell is there is no slipper. If you get your driveline in a bind something is going to break. (I have never hurt the R4 transmission and you sure won't hurt the LRT or LRT2!) This is the best scale driveline for your #tinytrucks hands down!

You don't throw enough torque at to strip gears, plane and simple, the slipper was designed to protect the plastic parts on your drivetrain, but that's a joke!!!!! That's the first thing to GO!!

What if you don't want the overdrive front gear and opt for matched gearing??? Especially when you run 4wheel steer??

if you use a RC4WD t case backwards ( trans to front axle output on t case ) it will give the front an overdrive aswell

that's a sweet setup, thinking I'm going to go this rt with my class 1. as for the slipper clutch comment if you're bound up its called reverse, it's what we do in the 1:1 world or ofcourse you're gonna break something.

... you won't break something built tough with a proper sized power system! I can stall a motor on most of my trucks now that I've got the time wheeling to make a nice balance of power and strength. The trucks over here seem to last forever and still beat most of the tug of war competitions we have from time to time... and no motor smoke! haha! I am convinced that a mild brushed setup with a good ESC and gearing and a small 3s is more than enough for just about any scale truck out there. No breaking, no slow downs. More than enough to get around trails or comp. (I also don't drive to bust things, it's a bit of common sense, like you're suggesting)

+GCMRacing1 - Scale Truck RC in Canada I agree, I really only run brushed I'll be switch to 3s power for these future builds. my class 3 I'd like to run brushless but it's not a necessity. I like to gear for tourqe first top speed second.

I already have the trans I just need the transfer case. On your site you have to buy both. I just want to buy the transfer case

This R4 transmission is not the same as the one we sell. It will look similar, but none of the parts are the same. Our GCM trans is much lower gearing. We do not make this transfer case anymore to fit onto the R4 transmission from RC4wd. Sorry.
