The best thing is it’s water resistant does not get wet in snow had a cami foam pad for wife to glass it would absorb water snow like a sponge had to put in plastic bag which made it a little noisy this pad is a smaller version of my sleep pad which I use in backcountry high country cold weather in a packable tent it’s get for glassing wife is making me get her one

Cut a piece of 1" styrofoam (does not compress easily) that will fit in your pack or you can tie on your pack also works great!
