Gearhead Archery Disrupter ATA 2020

The Gearhead Disrupter series of bows is new for 2020. Previously, Gearhead had made short axle-to-axle fixed adjustment bows (T-series) as well as the highly adjustable B-series in many lengths. The Disrupter series strikes a balance by providing a bow that's has draw length specific cams but also has 10-15 pounds of draw weight adjustability. It also is priced at $749, which is a fair bit less than most flagship bows.

Ok I am sold on the changing of the brace height. That is truly a game changer, you can find the perfect combination for you and shoot amazing because of that.

As a left eye dominant right hand dominant I love the ambidextrous bow. Not to mention the adjustability

I have wanted a gear head bow for 10 years since the T series. probably will get one finally this season.

Ok the pricing is amazing and the customization is insane, you can change things that only a bow company could do before. The reason the Halon series was so popular is because there was so many options from brave heights to ata differences and now instead of having 5 different options of the same bow you can have one that changes for everyone making it a pro shops wet dream.

I think I’m going to jump off the Hoyt bandwagon here in 2020 for one of the T series carbon fiber. I already sold my Hoyt Carbon element. Sick of bow companies pumping out the same bows every year and charging hundreds more for minor tweaks. These bows are priced realistically and the maneuverability and portability are what really matters. Any bow 250fps+ can get a pass through on a whitetail

I really liked them. Shot the Disrupter 24 at 75lb and the draw wasn't overly aggressive. Great back wall. The B24 was really intriguing to me personally simply because of all the things you can tweak with the setup. And the carbon T was crazy lightweight.

DIY Sportsman how tall are you? What draw length ? It would be sweet to have a tiny light bow for saddle hunting

I liked the 1911 grip. Probably more than the standard. I like the thin, straight grips.

I’m intrigued by Gearhead for saddle hunting. What would you recommend between the T20/D20 and the T24/D24 for a saddle hunting bow?

Usually go with a 28” draw on most bows.

@@GostoFan You could probably go either way. I think Jared from Tethrd is around a 28" draw and was using the D20. For my 29-29.5" I liked the string angle of the 24 a little more.

The Disruper is 325-335 (depending on the size - the D30 is the fastest). The B-series is 340-360 (the B36 is slowest, and the B34 is fastest - B24 is 350). The T-series is 315-325 (T18 slowest, T24 fastest).
