We usually use a dice to help us remember what we put in the bag. So we put the number up and then place the dice on the icon where we are declaring. It helps a lot especially for us old folks who have a problem remembering sometimes when we're busy talking to other players.

Why do people think complaining every week that this isn't TableTop is helpful? I loved TableTop, but in it's absence I also enjoy weekly doses of Game the Game. Maybe what would help, is people sharing, and liking Game the Game, and creating enough support that Geek and Sundry realizes it's worth putting more money/resources into it, and or, bringing back the tabletop format?

Sheriff don't like it, dah dah dah.. Block the crossbows, block the crossbows.. I don't really understand all the hate for GtG. Becca does a great job & we still get to see all these interesting games being played, so what's the problem? I like Wil, but that doesn't mean Becca isn't a good host. You can like both.

Table top VS GTG, some say it is missing flair others say one is better than the other, but this is the simple difference. Will invited his friends or other celebrities to enjoy a family style game play with the occasional strong rivalry between friends so it was relatable. What GTG has is longer playthoughs so you can see more details of the game including the quiet non funny times that TableTop sped through to save time or skip over non funny content. My personal opinion is Tabletop had humor and was more enjoyable to me, but Game the Game has its own merit that is slowly growing on me. Yet I still feel the one thing GTG is missing is fun competition between friends.

For those wondering, a mobius strip is a ribbon with only one side. As an example, take a strip of paper put a single twist in it and tape the two ends together. If you were to then take a pen and run it up the center of the strip until you get back to where you started you will see that you have covered both sides of the paper

I just discovered Geek & Sundry, so I have no feelings about TableTop. This video is way more smooth, relaxed and smarter than TableTop's 'Sheriff of Nottingham'. 37:25 - it was awesome

Becca, I am shocked! First time i have ever caught you getting rules wrong on your videos. Sheriff is one of our groups favorite games. We have 4 copies between all of the players. When you get your bag back from inspection, you are required to open in immediately. Not wait until the end. Although it really doesn’t matter. and you cannot split up your discards - They all go to the same discard pile. However... this game screams for house rules. Our house rule is if you sneak in Green cards that were not declared, they stay face down in the contraband pile until the end of the game, so that no one can count how many legit goods you have. For example, I declare 5 apples but really have 3 apples and 2 cheese. I tell the Sheriff that I have the 5 apples and he lets me pass. I put three apples face up, and the two cheese face down in the contraband pile.

yeah it just seemed they had trouble getting the banter going, felt like a struggle for them. Not Becca's fault she pushed the game along as best as she could. How can you compete with Wil Wheaton and his desire to get past customs so he can get to the Dick and Pickle because he has tickets for the butter churning?

While i like game the game, i LOVE tabletop. Yes Becca is cute, but with Wil you could almost feel how much he enjoyed the game and the time with friends.

This was quite enjoyable. I didn't enjoy the "oh noes the patriarchy" comment at the beginning but honestly I can tune that BS out at this point. Have to say I was rooting for Thor after the extravagant 15 bribe in the beginning and for the excellent shirt, but let it not be said that the most deserving duplicitous sneak did not win.

Better then tabletop less swearing and a better looking host and a good instructor. Tell will to make some beer.

From a game theory perspective, if you're the sheriff and believe someone's sneaking unclaimed goods (e.g. you've paid attention to their draws/discards and know their claim is impossible), I think there's no bribe they can give that actually makes it worthwhile to let them through... The game is zero-sum, and they know what goods they put in, so they aren't going to bribe for more than half of what their goods can get them. Using simple numbers for ease of understanding: if I'm trying to smuggle in something that can get me 5 points, and I offer a bribe of 2 that's accepted, I came out on top; the sheriff gained 2 and I gained 3--meaning I effectively just earned 1 point on the sheriff. For that reason, I wouldn't have ever bribed using 3 or higher. Such an interaction would have given the sheriff 3 and me 2--a net loss of 1 to the sheriff. In a zero-sum game, you should not be making deals that benefit someone else more than they benefit you.

What happened to them playing NEW games? That was one of the biggest selling points of this show

What happened to Tabletop?

Everywhere I look I only see this awful 1st edition of this game. Where you can draw from discards (wth) Such a shame the superior version isn't to be seen on much places :/

Slight flaw in your explanation of how to play... Only promises during a round must be honored, so "All the cheese that got stuck in my bread to not inspect" must be honored "I won't inspect you if you don't inspect me" does not as the promised relates to a different round As for your draw pile (my friends and I usually have two draw piles to go with the two discard piles (still have to draw from discard piles first, but you can draw from both draw piles and go between the two draw piles, ie draw from left, draw from right, draw from left again if you like and set aside enough)

I mean if you're going to do NOT Tabletop, at least do games Will didn't already play. You're just inviting the comparisons at that poiny

Table Top had fun, interesting, and likeable people being fun, interesting, and likeable. It made me excited to go out and buy the games so I could play them with my friends and family. This tire fire has none of that I wish Will would start a new page.

It's a fact that, although I don't doubt the professionalism of Rebecca and the team at Geek & Sundry: TableTop was much better. This is missing some flair, something ... je ne sais quoi. That little spark of magic that TableTop had is missing here. Then again: filling Wil Wheaton's shoes would probably be an insurmountable task for most people. On a sidenote: Sheriff of Nottingham is a really fun game. And at Greg Putnam, who is apparently telling everyone with valid criticism here to "go away": please just shut up. You sound like a toddler who just had his pacifier taken from him.
