So glad Hasbro did this line, never had them as a kid, was lucky to fund all four figures and ecto1 in stores and online, saves so much time and money trying to find a good condition vintage version of them.

Every Ecto-1 is coming with creased sticker sheets. However, they're VERY easily straightened out, thankfully. I'm so glad I pre-ordered 3 of these months ago (arrived last week), as I don't think they're coming to stores for the most part and are all sold out online. They did a great job with it.

Hoping for a re-release of the ghost trap next!

Found this at Walmart randomly last night. Had to get the manager to do an online price match. In store it was 45, online 40. They had two and I left one. Wanna take it out of the box and compare it to my original (which held up pretty well for being well over 30 years old). Great review!

The shorter length cable that reels in the ghost trap probably adds to the play value, since it requires less runway (or table or floor space) to complete the move.

Quick update, I found two Ecto-1 vehicles on Walmart shelves last night. The retail price was $44.97. I only bought one.

My Ecto-1 survived into adulthood. However, it was murdered by my cat when she went nuts one day and knocked it down right on the roof. Fortunately, replacing it was relatively easy at the time.

That brings back bad memories of my parents video recording everything. Mostly my dad. It was like every event taking place on a movie set or something with a long lengthy interview that you didn't want to do. Like when I'd get in trouble at school, at home my dad would get out the video camera to record us talking about it and what my punishment was going to be. I hated the camera. Plus they would video tape sport competitions and Karate that they made me do and I wasn't good at it either. And then at home my dad would make us watch it for an entire day and do slo mo and rewind of every mistake you made or whatever to go over it with a magnifying glass. I hated it. Haha. That doesn't even count getting lashings say, for example, every time on the video in a Karate sparing competition you didn't block a kick or a punch he thought should have been blocked, etc. Torture. He'd even sometimes record Karate practice to make us rewatch what we did. You can't even imagine how much I hated the video camera.

Awesome video! I really hope I can find an Ecto-1 on shelf. I received an “in stock” email from Wal-Mart last week and they were sold out by the time I saw the email. The hunt is on.

Great Video. I really do hope that the line isn't truly canceled and that Hasbro officially decides on to continue with this line. Either way I did my part to support the line by buying 3 of each item. 1 to open up for display in my collection and 2 to keep mint on card or in package. I am extremely Lucky in the fact that I have either found or received all of my Kenner classics with their packaging completely un-damaged and perfectly MINT. Lets just hope that the Fan poll Hasbro did five months ago wasn't just a waste of time for everyone and that we will officially get at least one more wave of The Real Ghostbusters figures, Ghosts, Vehicles, Role-playing items and what had to be the most voted for item the only playset that was made the firehouse headquarters. either way I am extremely happy with what we got if this is truly it. Looks lovingly over at all of my Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, The Green Ghost Slimer, The Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, The Bug-Eye Ghost, The Fearsome Flush, The Ghost-Popper and finally the Ecto-1. Yep defiantly Dammed pleased with what we have gotten so far from Hasbro/Kenner. I really do Love watching your channel so please keep up all the good work that you do.

I hope it didn't het cancelled, for a complete retro collection for Ghostbusters they need to do the firehouse... obviously... and ecto-2! Ecto 1a should've just been an extra sticker sheet included with this and if people wanted both they would have to buy 2, 1a would be a wasted release taking up a spot for something else... ecto-2 was uses just as much as ecto-1 in the show!

It looks cuter than the after life version. It's rounder and cartoon like while the after life model is just a straight copy of a real car.

I bought the Kenner classics ecto and the newer hasbro ecto. The classics is much sturdier

As a kid always wanted these as a kid sadly we couldn’t afford it. These hasbro releases brought out the kid in me again. Just need Winston to my collection. Now the hard part is ……. Do I open them? 🤔

Jay, did you notice the back door being any tighter or looser than the original when it is shut? Mine is very loose and unintentionally comes open very easily. I’m trying to see if anyone else has experienced the same issue.

I got the Ecto1 today, I bought all Kenner classics minus the ghost popper. I will keep them in there packaging. Love the retro artwork. I think this line is discontinued. It’s a bummer, I would’ve got more of the re issues. My only gripe is I wish the proton packs were like the originals, like how they plugged in the back. Otherwise it’s nice to see these again.

Do the Plasma series figures work in this? I still have hopes of them making a movie Ecto 1 but until then I’m wondering if it will work?

I can’t decide if I should get the ghostbusters afterlife ecto 1 or the Kenner classic one.

It's literally indistinguishable from the original. Except for having the missing parts and lacking the beige discoloration of 2nd hand smoke, humidity and back yard action.

the original is so much better. on my 2021 re-release, the back hatch does not stay shut. falls open constantly
