I currently have over 900 items in my store, maybe 100 of them sell. It's all part of the experimentation. Not only do I experiment with designs, but mockup and descriptors. This is a game of patience for sure.

Nicolas, it's easiest to design in a niche that you know something about personally. My suggestion to you... think about a niche based around a hobby that you and your dad share. There will be other sons and dads that share the same hobby as you and your dad. Male fashions/gifts are under-represented on etsy, so it would be great to have a store where people could buy special gifts for both sons and dads. Good luck with your store, and most of all, enjoy it! :)

This was so sweet Nick. He is actually has pretty good skills, better than some of the adult designs I have seen, it’s sweet that he is even doing this at such a young age. It sounds like he has a bright future. 😊

Make sure your mock ups are pictures of the exact brand of t shirt you are selling. Etsy is really paying attention to that now.

Thanks for sharing this Nic! I got a new question recently: I am in France, I set my shops in English (USA) and I translate it all in french myself. So I can add tags and title in french. Are those additional tags? So instead of 13 tag slots, I have 26 slots just because I translate? How does this work? I know SEO is not the most important, but still asking. Thanks!

Yes, just fill out both SEO sections with the appropriate language.

I opened a store in 2021 and it only has 3 sales. I couldn't deal with this store later and now I opened it again. I am trying to give this store an identity and continue with only one product type. Do you think I can benefit from this store or should I open a new store? I'm very confused right now.

So, can I ask what the situation would be, if we have 200-300 listings how we handle Etsy ads, surely we couldn’t have ads running for every listing? What would you advise? TY X X

Hi Deborah, thanks for your question, in brief: 1 Have enough budget to get whatever listings you are advertising, through a complete day. 2 Run your ads on product sets if you cannot advertise everything.

@@etsyconsultant Etsy has denied me access because of suspicious activity on my account, I'm trying really hard to contact them and get it sorted but at this stage they aren't even responding. It's been over a week and have had 1 email response from them. Literally happened 30min after my first ever sale, I'm so disappointed.

Would it be a bad idea for beggining jewelry shops to primarly sell solid gold jewelry within the $100-$300 price range, rather than the $20-$40 you reccomend? Ive been stuck on this forna while sincd I prefer selling higher quality jewelry rather than vermeil or gold filled. Would i even need to be conserned since im targeting a different target audience?

You can do this, but you will need to make sure your store branding is A1, primarily around photography and video.
