My former best friend signed herself up for baby mama hood. She planned a baby with her baby daddy that had FIVE children with THREE WOMEN. She had her 1st, and gave him baby #6. She pregnant with her 2nd, and his 7th child. I had to walk away from our 20yr friend ship. 😢

@syd4920 Ummm, she dumped him because he was sleeping with his best friend's wife. I was there to help her through that. I thought she was done with him, but a few months later, she popped up telling me she got back with him and PLANNED a pregnancy! There was no talking to her... she knew what she was doing, so I'm leaving her to live her life.

Bringing a whole human into this world and raising them for 18 years (and more cause once you're a parent, that never ends) is way more of a commitment than marriage since you can divorce and get an annulment if it doesn't work out. But you can't unbirth a child 💀

Kids having sex it self is pretty disturbing, and teens mom it’s not a good thing guys (unless they are a victim of sa, my hearts goes to you). What’s wrong with Stay in your school and having a hobbies ? Kids should have a childhood, teenage should have a teenage hood, and adult should have an adulthood, and teenage hood does not include being pregnant and having a baby. And by the way kids need stability

Agreed it’s weirdly normalised nowadays. Back when i was 14 (back in 2022) i used to get made fun of by some “popular” kids who sat next to me in my religious education class for being a virgin. I say this all the time: BRING BACK TEEN BABYSITTERS. When I was a teen I was constantly babysitting for neighbors, family friends and family members. Most of my little cousins I took care of, anyone we trusted that had a kid I spent at least an afternoon with. Teens now days have very little idea of how much work kids are, and baby sitting only gives them a sliver of that -- and so many times that sliver is enough. Try to do your homework with a tired two year old, or relax and watch tv with a couple of 5 year olds that won't go to bed. Found out about a friend's get together? You already made commitments to babysit. I think so many of these teens haven't experienced that responsibility, so the weight of pregnancy, and taking physical care of a child doesn't weigh on them, let alone the actual raising them part.

They can’t provide their children with basic human needs if they didn’t experience having said needs met themselves. Sadly they legitimately have no idea what a healthy childhood looks like. The chance to grow and develop decent character, work ethic, respect for other people and their right to not be mistreated over a period of around 18 years of childhood (some of us needed 1-7 more years of parental support) is becoming rarer and rarer and society is not discussing the issue. Kids today are taking on the responsibilities that normally used to begin around 18-25 years of age for us at 12-16 years of age! And no one bats an eye. If once in a while someone tries to speak on behalf of the childhoods (they literally are too young to logically understand) they’re giving up they get backlash for being a prude? Like… they’re minors. What happened about caring about children and the impact of their actions?

A lot of people want kids cause they're afraid of being & dying alone. The problem is that having a kid doesn't guarantee that they'll stay with you forever. Sometimes, not always, they have kids too early cause people say "don't wait until it's too late". I never wanted to be a single mom, never wanted to be called a “baby mama”, but I was in love :/ and I’ll sadly be waiting around for this man to get his shit together and act right, while also being blamed for it all. "Teen Mom" really glamorized & normalized this trend, social media made it worse. And unfortunately, if you don't have any support system or have a terrible support system, you can be expected to give the child up, while people willing to adopt the baby will never help the teenager who needed the help to begin with. Or, you have to "boss up" somehow, without a partner, supportive parents/friends/or family.

Hey, gen Z here 🙋🏻‍♀️. I just wanted to talk a bit about the whole chidren having children thing. I know that it's hard from people on the outside looking in to really know what's going on with the younger generations, but since I'm 19, and in my second year of college, I can talk on us. Young people, especially underage people having children is a huge non-issue. Dispite what the older generations might believe, we are not more promicuos than the previous generations, and we have recieved countless sexual education from the time we were 12. Most people I knew in highschool were virgins, all but 2 of my friends are virgins. I also went to a pretty big highschool of about 3000 students, and I only ever saw 2 girls pregnant. Teen pregnancies are a lot more uncommon now than before, and most young people don't want children any time soon or at all. You guys can even look up stats on this, don't get fooled by the few young parents you see on the internet, those are outliers, not even remotely close to the average teenager or young adult.

Hello! Older Gen Z here. I completely agree with your statement. I feel that due to a few bad apples, the entire Gen Z gets looked at as if we are wild and strange when that’s not the case. It’s simply we just won’t stand for injustices that older generations have let fly. We are also more open to having conversations about mental/emotional/and physical health when there was time you couldn’t be open to discuss those topics without being looked at like you’re crazy. Yes there are few outliers but haven’t almost of all the older generations faced the same thing. It feels like many older generations are upset or don’t like that many Gen Z’s don’t want to move in their lives like they did. Why do something just one way when there’s other ways of accomplishing the same end result. It’s that open and honest dialogue that people are afraid of because it breaks what they have always known and that just can’t happen.

Yes absolutely. Funnily enough, I recalled recently when I was in my teens and decided to stay home one New Year’s Eve. A family member asked me if I was going out and when I told her no because I was saving, she called me boring then proceeded to ask me to babysit her daughter so she could go out. A month later she then called to borrow money. I’m pretty sure that at no point did it occur to her that my being “boring” meant that she had a baby sitter that night and that the same money she borrowed from me was only available for me to lend simply because I had chosen to stay home that night instead of spending it going to the club. So yes, people will call you boring but be more than happy to benefit from it when it suits their needs. Luckily I’m older now and much more assertive and discerning 🙏🏾

As a 15 year old, I see from the kids around me that the problem starts with the parents. I think the main problem is that parents just don’t parent. Like parents are out here buying their kids vapes and allowing them to just do whatever. It’s honestly so sad. Ik my mom is tough on me but I appreciate it bc wtf do you mean your mom is letting you sleep around and smoke and skip school. The future is so concerning. And don’t even get me started on their spelling, grammar, conversation skills, or critical thinking 🤦🏾‍♀️

How could being a totally unprotected (legally, culturally, etc) Mother be romanticized? And how could a MAN not being willing to commit to fidelity be romanticized? We need to be talking about what we allow men to do, and "absent Father" mentality as well ...

Right. Something I was thinking about is how in teen pregnancy relationships, the girl is usually named as a whore or a slut, but if the dad stays he’s praised as a ‘saint’ or ‘angel’… tf? for staying with his child and being responsible for his actions? behave. if a woman went and abandoned her kid she would be looked at soo much worse- and rightfully so, but the same should able to the baby daddies as well.

This video was highly needed. I thank you for being so honest and being a model of what should be normal admist abnormality. This internet thing a lot of things should not be allowed to be shown on there. To add, children under 16 should not have phones or access to the internet except for assignments and they should be supervised by a responsible adult in order to grow up normal and not feel they are yet to achieve anything. Aesthetic is thrown around too much making people feel they have to look or behave in a certain manner to be valid, sis just be neat, modest, confident and live within you means you will be fine. I wish I was a KZfaqr I would have had a lot to add. Thanks again you spoke TRUTH!!!

Especially the narcissist thing is so true. As someone who recently realized that I kept on being friends or dating the same type of person I can tell you that social media actually slowed down my journey. Seeing videos about narcissistic people and the list of traits confused me even more. I did not realize that I was in a cycle and since my scenarios didn't relate to the signs maybe cause they were very simple guesses and had more to do with bad behavior or a situation taken out of hand, I convinced myself that I was the problem since I could barely relate to the victims. It took me so long to conclude that most narcissists are actually quite enticing and not as plain behavior explained by a top5 list. They are difficult to argue with and cut off, even worse is that if they are on social media they will use mental health buzz words to really sell their story. Anyway, it is not as simple to realize, and even trying to get out of the loop as I also know I play a role in attracting the same people. Either way, these things are best to either avoid or seek professional help.
