Hi Mickey, you have 3 really good choices! I've heard of A Monster Class & Rat Queens 2, but I have never heard of Cutting for Stone. I subscribed! I'm looking forward to your wrap-up of these books to hear what you thought about them.

I haven't read any of the YA books, but I have seen the movie of Perks of being a Wallflower and it hits on some kind of depressing subjects. Maybe Blue Bloods would be a pick-you-up after reading the book about grief? Good luck with the genrethon : )

I need to freaggin read some Joan Didion, the memoir I picked is also pretty heartbreaking. The first page has the author giving birth to a stillborn baby. Life is freaggin rough. Ohmagashh!! I almost picked The Perks of Being a Wallflower for my YA, but went with It's Kind of a Funny Story instead. Good luck with the readathon!!! Did you settle on one of the YA books?
