George was so intelligent, kind, sincere and authentic. He was, is and always will be my favorite horror movie director, writer. RIP George, gone but never forgotten!

what is your favorite film by him?

Well said. His films always had something to say, for sure. And also were fun as hell. How many filmmakers can say that?

I feel exactly the same way. I laughed through zombie scenes all the time when they get run over or some shit like that. I've always been into cult classic horror movies and I love George Romero with all my heart Rest In peace Mr. Romero. You are an icon and a good man🌬💕

I fell in love with Pittsburgh when I went to college there back in the 1990s. I met George Romero downtown at the Fulton Street Theater where he was holding a "friends and family screening" of The Dark Half. My best friend, at the time, was cousins with Romero's editor and he got us in to see the film. George was a gracious, friendly giant of man. I told him what a big fan I was and how much I enjoyed his film. There will always be a special place in my heart for George, Pittsburgh and the time I spent with both.

This interview contains some of the only footage I have ever seen of George discussing Knightriders, my favorite film. Thank you for uploading this.

8:42 Oh zombies digging into people's stomach and pulling their guts out isn't traumatizing? is it supposed to be anything but repulsive? Romero was kind of pretentious and full of shit. I'm grateful for his work. But he doesn't deserves the status of greatest horror movie director by any means.

Aahhhhh back when liberals ran PBS, not radical marxists.

truly delusional to believe you'd find anything left of centre on television in north america today. if PBS is run by radical marxists then I suppose fox news is run by straight fascists... hmm...
